Nicolai looked out across the conference room table at the assembled officers, nodding in introduction to them as each took a seat. A few shimmering blue holograms appeared in some of the empty seats, representatives currently in other sectors of RS space. One of those holograms, he noted, didn’t actually show a person, but merely a silhouette. He’d been informed that the Logistics Officer would only be able to attend via audio, as he was in the hotly contested Aurora sector, trying to help get the supply situation under control. With so many Imperial ships in the area any connection to the sector had been spotty at best for the past week or so.

“Looks like e’eryone is ‘ere, Nicolai. Go ahead.” Fleet Commander Vandroth leaned back in his chair at the head of the conference table as Nicolai nodded and stood up.

“The situation is not good,” Nicolai began, looking down at his notes. “First and foremost, Aurora is currently under siege by a rather large Imperial force, and has been for the past eighteen hours now. So far we’ve been able to ascertain that the defenses are holding for now, but the Imperials are beginning to make planetfall and are attempting to capture our local HQ. Reports coming out of the area are spotty at best, as the only reliable communication we have through their jamming are from a few ABG members with F-Comms. Redemption fleet is currently en route as reinforcements, but they won’t arrive for another two days. Meanwhile, supplies have slowed to a trickle into the planet, and our projections show that we’re going to simply run out of munitions sometime tomorrow, which will complicate our defensive efforts.”

He activated another holoprojector in the middle of the room, showing a representation of the Aurora sector, with a large blob highlighted in red, and various planets marked out along the encroaching fleet’s path.

“This is what the enemy has taken so far, as you can see they’ve established a foothold in the sector and are beginning to set up depots and defenses… we think.” He winced a little, noticing the immediate disapproving gazes from many of those seated around the table.

“We haven’t been able to get any recon flights deep enough to find out. It’s one of our priorities going forward.” His recovery did not do much to alleviate the gazes.

“We’ve identified that the fleet is going to have to capture this world…” He highlighted a world. “Exren. We have a small outpost there that we’re shipping supplies to. We’re hoping to be able to hold them off long enough for the Patriot Task Force to mass to defend it. It is a critical world in this sector, as its capture would give the Imperials access to a few hyperlanes that lead directly to some of our more important planets.”

“They have also begun an invasion of the Cadrel Expanse. Their intel on us is damned good, they’re utilizing super-heavy capital ships such as Imperial one and twos, and just slowly pushing forward. This is really hampering Colonel Veld and her strike force. I’ve worked out a plan with her to begin striking at their supply lines. It might be the only way to stop them without diverting a larger fleet over.”

He took a breath, stopping to sip a glass of water. The room was otherwise silent.

“The only good news I’ve got, folks, is that the ABG’s managed to get a shipyard up and running, and they’re hard at work producing a new fleet. Their new flagship will be done in a few week’s time. We should be able to shore up our southern flank for now.”

The crackling noise of static filled the room for just a moment before dying down, and a new voice joined in.

“To put this into numbers…” the Logistics Officer spoke, through his audio-only connection. “We’ve lost a dozen worlds, six supply depots, two of which were major munitions stockpiles. One of our primary COMM arrays in Aurora has been captured, along with a sensor array. Two convoys have been lost in as many days, and we’re having trouble getting supplies anywhere… Stand by.”

A loud bang came over the COMM followed by a quickly cut-off yell.

“...As I was saying, I’m working on re-routing craft to keep things flowing, but for KRIFF’S SAKE we need the flyboys to stop losing so many assets. We can’t fight every battle against this invasion right now, but we need to win the battles we are fighting.”

“Right.” Admiral Vandroth interrupted, leaning forward. “So, here’s the plan...”

Tour: Hammerfall
Operation: Fallen Ramparts
Operation Start date: June 7th, 2015
Operation End date: July 31st, 2015, 11:59 pm

Objective 1: X-Wing Alliance

Scramble! All pilots to your ships! Part of the Titan's armada that hit our Aurora base has somehow discovered the location of our very own Redemption and are heading in for an ambush! Fortunately it seems that they may have underestimated the firepower of the Redemption's forces, as the ambush party doesn't appear to be very large or have reinforcements in reserve, so we may have a reasonable chance of thwarting them. First priority will be to keep any bombers from getting through to the Redemption, and then pick off any of the smaller and more vulnerable capital ships. If we can succeed in cutting off one of the legs of the attack, that will probably be enough to convince them to give up the gambit. Here are your assignments:
Wildcards in the A-wings, make sure and keep any bombers off of the Redemption!
Reds/Dragons, you have space superiority in X-wings.
Resurrection, take any Y-wings on board and setup an attack on the capital ships.
Daggers, you're going fighter/bomber in the B-wings. Help thin out the fighters and then join Resurrection to pound the bigger ships.

Alright pilots, you have your assignments, now get to it!

Objective Point Distribution: 1 point for submitting a report flying your squad’s assigned craft, 1 point for successfully completing the mission, and 1 point for included narrative.

Objective Instructions: Download the mission from here: http://www.rebelsquadrons.org/itod/mission?id=1112. Fly it! Take a screenshot of the final score and submit it here: http://www.rebelsquadrons.org/itod/mission?id=1112. Post your narrative with your mission report -or- post it to the forums along with a screenshot proving you flew your squad's designated craft!

Objective 2: Legacy Platform Coordinator Directive

Troops, there's no way to beat around the bush here; we're just don't really have the full picture on what we're up against yet. To that end, we need our Legacy folks to head out and try to gather some intel for us!

Objective Point Distribution: 1 point submitting a score report, 1 point for surviving the mission and returning with the intel gathered, and 1 point for submitting a report summarizing said intel gathered.

Objective Instructions: Play any A-wing based mission on any legacy simulator game (Xwing, Tie Fighter, etc.), or play any mission on any legacy FPS game (Jedi Knight, Jedi Academy, etc.). Report this match either using the historical reporter (for an RS historical mission) or the Generic Activity reporter. Once you have done so, submit a report for this objective at http://www.rebelsquadrons.org/itod/mission?id=1121 including your end-of-mission screenshot and a link to your historical/general report. For an extra ITOD point, include a narrative in the form of a reconnaissance/intelligence report on any Imperial activity that you encounter.

Objective 3: X-Wing Miniatures

In order to be better prepared for future strikes, and to plan upcoming counterattacks, the RS is launching reconnaissance and scouting missions to locate Imperial rally points and other locations of interest. As this mission will involve the use of recon fighters, the mission does pose a higher risk than usual, but it is also vital to our future operations.

Objective Point Distribution: 2 points for participating in two matches (1 per), 1 point for a successful RS-side match (max 1)

Objective Instructions: Go to http://www.rebelsquadrons.org/itod/mission?id=1113 to download the Vassal File and here for the ROE (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1WtZ52ue-D-j2Yw_4HZob73O9rz0fxF3AyWrqWShoaFQ/edit?usp=sharing). Contact MGN Nicolai Ginovef regarding any questions, comments or concerns.

Objective 4: Star Wars Commander

Our forward operating bases are under siege from all sides, and will have to pull all of the stops in order to halt the Imperial advance. This means that the forces at these bases will have to directly engage Imperial forces and hamper their supply efforts. Make sure to bring your best forces to the party and that your own fortifications are well placed to halt any counter attacks, Commanders.

Objective Point Distribution: 1 ITOD point for participating in a tournament, 1 additional point for ranking in the top 50% at the end of a tournament, or 2 additional points for ranking in the top 25% at the end of a tournament.

Objective Instructions: Participate in a tournament in Star Wars Commander and include a screenshot of your final ranking in the tournament once it ends. Use the ITOD reporter for Commander found on the right-hand navbar of www.rebelsquadrons.org.

Objective 5: Star Wars The Old Republic

As the Imperial forces continue their push into RS space, commando raids are becoming increasingly more important to hinder their advance, either by harassing advancing forces or striking rear echelon troops to disrupt supply and communication lines. However, assets are dwindling, and any available supplies found in the field are being requested to maintain operational status.

Objective Point Distribution: 1 ITOD point for participating in a flashpoint (up to 2 total for 2 points total), 1 point for donating 100K credits to the guild bank.

Objective Instructions: Participate in 2 Flashpoints with another RSer, report them with the Generic Reporter, and donate 100K credits to the guild bank. To record your donation, include a before and after screenshot of the guild bank’s available credits. Use this objective reporter (http://www.rebelsquadrons.org/itod/mission.php?id=1115 ), include links to 1) Reporter links for your flashpoints (found via the Leaderboard -> Multiplayer Hub -> The Old Republic -> Selecting your match ID) and 2) your screenshots for your donation to the guild bank (post them to a thread on the forums! http://www.rebelsquadrons.org/forums/viewforum.php?f=58&sid=a85ec5e17909f48e1add2f5425dc5927 )

Objective 6: Minecraft

Over the past few months the small scale defence of the planet has developed into a full scale ground war. The intermingling of AT-AT’s and repulsor tanks, flanked by Y-wing/X-wing bombing runs. The shield generator is under attack and the enemy press ahead to try to destroy it and pave the way for a full scale orbital bombardment. Whilst the fighting rages on the surface the RS geologists have been burrowing deep into the planet and have found a new evil. A dragon of ferocity and anger which poses a new danger to the group and to the natives on the planet.

Objective Point Distribution: 1 ITOD point will be awarded for each mission completed (for a total of 3 points maximum)

Objective Instructions: Mission 1: Build a barracks with a compliment of tanks, fixed positions and speeders. Mission 2: The RS are low on valuable supplies. 5 diamonds are to be contributed. Submit screenshots as proof of your activities to each of the mission objectives found on the righthand navbar at www.rebelsquadrons.org

Objective 7: Modern Gaming Coordinator Directive

With the losses sustained, the RS is forced to spread out it’s available assets in order to combat the Imperials on the various fronts, which means that personnel are being shifted from various fronts very quickly.

Objective Point Distribution: 1 point for each different activity played (must have 1 or more additional RSers with you), for a total of 3 points.

Objective Instructions: Participate with RS members in 3 different forms of gaming activity: WoT, TOR, Minis, Minecraft, LoL, WoW, Pazaac, Words with Friends, Settlers of Catan, or virtually everything. Once they join, lay claim to your recruit by e-mailing ADM Vandroth (fc@rebelsquadrons.org) and let him know about your new recruit. Encourage your recruit to participate in RS activities and earn their first promotion to receive full ITOD credit.
