Playing

Playing Scrambler is simple — unscramble the word or phrase given, and type it in the scrambler channel. If you answer before the other players do, you'll receive some points! But answer quickly, because there's a time limit for each word or phrase — so if you don't get it soon enough, you might lose out on any points for it.

Things to know

• Answers are not case-sensitive. "Han Solo" = "han solo" = "HAN SOLO".
• There may be 1, 2, or 3 winners. Points are given as follows: 1st-3, 2nd-2, 3rd-1. The host sets the number of winners.
• There will be some lag. Because of the nature of IRC, it will take some time (usually not much) for your answer to reach MrBot. The best thing you can do to minimize lag is to use the same Undernet server as MrBot.

Scrambler-related bot commands

• !hint: Displays one more letter of the phrase, starting at the beginning. You may also use !hint num to display num more letters; e.g. !hint 5 would display 5 more letters.
• !re: Restates the scrambled phrase (useful for people who have just joined the channel, or if the phrase is scrolled off-screen)
• !server: The bot will state which server it is on. If lag is a problem, using this server may alleviate it.
