Therefore, it is necessary for you, the user, to register this program after a period of 15 days. The registration fee is only 5 dollars US, and that includes the registration of The Pilot's Desk, the companion program that you recieved in your X-Manager package. Remember, when you register, you're not only getting the best deal around, but you're also being honest. 1.2 Introduction This program was born from a long generation of X-Wing editors. Now, the program has expanded to Windows, allowing the user a user-friendly interface. This program will allow you to edit several essential aspects of your X-Wing game. Also, The Pilot's Desk allows you to edit your pilot. Sorry, but this version of X-Manager for Win can only allow you to edit your spacecraft if you have X-Wing with the B-Wing expansion disk installled. Features for both programs include: X-Manager for Windows v5.0 1. Program now includes B-Wing options 2. Ease of use 3. New routine in program automatically displays your ships' specs in the Weapons, Defense, and Performance areas in the Ships menu The Pilot's Desk 1. Now allows the user to edit pilots flying the B-Wing or its Tour of Duty 2. Ease of use 3. New routine automatically displays your pilot's information in all areas 4. Compatibility with all versions of X-Wing 1.3 Installation Installation of X-Manager is easy. Simply copy these files to your Windows directory: COMMDLG.DLL CMDIALOG.VBX X-Manager will now be ready to run. To install The Pilot's Desk, read the documentation that came with it. 1.4 General Instructions The user-friendly interface of X-Manager will allow you to get the hang of editing your ships in a matter of no time. However, before you go and customize your spacecraft, make a back-up copy of your FLIGHT.OVL file. This file is in your X-Wing directory. If you don't back it up, the changes to your spacecraft will be permanent. After you have copied the file, you will be ready to edit your spacecraft. Here are the individual descriptions for each menu: 1.4.1 File Menu Open- This will open your FLIGHT.OVL file. Note: The program will automatically look for your FLIGHT.OVL file. All you have to do is choose the directory where the file is located. Save- This will save the changes that you have made to your spacecraft. Exit- This command will exit the program. Note: If you have not saved the changes to your spacecraft prior to leaving, your changes will be lost. Save your file before exiting. 1.4.2 Ships Menu Weapons- This will allow you to specify which ship you wish to edit, and then it will let you choose certain weapons aspects. Defence- This will allow you to specify which ship you wish to edit, and then it will let you choose certain defense aspects. Performance- This will allow you to specify which ship you wish to edit, and then it will let you choose certain performance aspects. 1.4.3 About Menu This menu will allow you to view registration info, as well as some other stuff. 1.5 Legal Disclaimer The X-Manager for Win program, along with The Pilot's Desk, are owned by Glenn Price and Greg Smith as stated under copyright laws.
