Password TSR by Matt "Batman" Hart, Green Five 75450,3705 NOTE: THIS DOES NOT DEFEAT THE COPY PROTECTION OF X-WING! This TSR will stuff the keyboard buffer with passwords that you supply. A sample XPASS.DAT file is included, but the words listed are NOT the actual passwords. You must modify the XPASS.DAT file with the passwords from your original X-Wing manual. Just go to each page which has passwords and replace the PAGExL,PAGExR words in XPASS.DAT with the actual passwords. Load the TSR by executing XPASS.COM. XPASS requires about 11K. When you are at the password entry, you will asked for the password of a particular page number. Press Ctrl-F2, then press the keys of that page number. If the incorrect password was used, press Ctrl-F2 again, followed by F2. This will stuff the next password from the same page. You may notice that the cursor will occassionally jump from OK to EXIT TO DOS and back to OK. This is necessary. The X-Wing password entry routine doesn't seem to like receiving two of the same letters in a row, quickly. It will discard the second letter. It took me a bit to figure this out, and a simple way around it. Well, that simple way is to move the cursor, which X-Wing accepts. DO NOT DISTRIBUTE THE X-WING PASSWORDS, NO MATTER WHAT!!! If we wish to continue to enjoy the excellent products from LucasArts, then we must abide by their copyrights and endure the copy protection. This program provides a simple way for LEGITIMATE USERS for entering those passwords. If you have received the XPASS program with an XPASS.DAT or other file containing the actual passwords, I DIDN'T PUT THEM THEIR and I'm not responsible for any legal action or expenses which you may incur.
