The big news for March is the consolidating of the Retribution Fleet into a Wing.
Coming a close second in the top news is a change of command; myself being your new Commanding Officer.
Further news has been released in its own e-mails over the past month. I intend these Newsletters to be primarily for the current Fleet ITOD, and secondarily for medals, promotions, and miscellaneous monthly news. Since all of those things usually follow a monthly cycle, I believe that this is the best use for NLs.
I would like to mention that I am actively seeking solutions to the following two problems:
1) Getting TIE to run on Windows XP. The solution at http://www.rebelsquadrons.org/oldbbs/readMsg.php?msgID=10028 still doesn't work for some people..
2) Taking screenshots with TIE 95.
If you think you know the solution to either of those, please e-mail me - if your solution is gold, I'll give you not only a cookie, but a dozen donuts or merits, your choice. :P
Without further ado, and adid, and adone, here're the ITOD results..
-=-R2F 7.09 Results-=-
Great turnout on R2F 7.09. We had about 81% reporting, which is higher than any fleet has achieved in recent history (the PBF came very close a couple months ago). I'm very pleased with the number of reports - 80% is the best this fleet has seen in many years. There was only one narrative, and that was from Nachos, due to his inability to fly - hopefully we can get more writing happening next Tour. Great activity, though!
In addition, I would like to commend Hydra on their 100% reporting. It's rare to have the entire squadron be active & participating. With a few more pilots, Hydra has a good shot at taking over the Top Squadron bragging rights from Skull.

80.8% reporting!
1st. Skull Squadron: 8 / 9 reports - 88.9%
2nd. Hydra Squadron: 7 / 7 reports - 100.0%
3rd. Shadow Squadron: 6 / 10 reports - 60.0%
Again.. great job all! We more than doubled activity from last mission. Because of this, I will be awarding two extra R2F merits to everyone that turned in a report.
And congratulations to Skull for completing its sweep of the Tour..

Stay tuned for the Awards Ceremony - it'll be held about a week from now, or sooner. If you have anything you'd like to include (medal nominations, etc.) please e-mail me.

This is the next big event for the R2F! I will be sending a separate e-mail with all the details. This is the main event for April, so for anyone itching to fly, you don't have long to wait.

These will be in the Awards Ceremony - and yes there will be some; however, there are some changes concerning ranks on the horizon, so we'll see what happens by the time the Ceremony rolls around.
