ITOD: M9: Guard The Blumar
Briefing
- The corvettes we reclaimed from the Empire were sent to our cruiser fleet orbiting Giltratha, where the captured Star Destroyer Stalwart is also being tested out. The corvettes were going to have their cargo of Quadranium loaded onto freighters for delivery to Incom. However, one of our loader droids found a homing beacon aboard one of the corvettes. The Imperials know our location, and may be en route!
We are evacuating our ships from the area. The smaller ships have left, the Stalwart and our cruisers need more time to charge their engines. While doing so, the Calamari Cruiser Blumar overloaded its ion reactor power generator, and is disabled. The transport Kicker, which is custom-designed with a built-in ion reactor, will attempt to dock and charge the engines by itself.
Since the Blumar is wide open to attack, an emergency plan has been devised. When we captured the Stalwart, there were several squadrons of TIE Fighters on board. We will deploy one of each type of TIE, manned by our best pilots. If Imperials do attack, X-Wing Red and TIE Gold will intercept them. With luck, TIE Gold will confuse the Imperials long enough for the Blumar to be repaired!
Red group is to intercept any TIE Bombers. Our TIEs will provide plenty of distraction for Red group to get their job done. Our best pilots are on these TIEs, so if a TIE shows hull damage, order it home. It will fly back to the Blumar. Also, be careful who you shoot at! Keep an eye on your CMD and radar!
This mission ends when all of our cruisers are safely out of danger.
