Memorial Held for Blerthmore Victims
Blerthmore -- The mood was sombre in the Star Destroyer Redemption's hangar earlier today as the entire Rebel Squadrons High Command, the majority of the Executive Staff and thousands of RS personnel were in attendance of a memorial service for the men and women who lost their lives defending Blerthmore from the recent and bloody Imperial attack.
Speeches were delivered by General David Pasiechnyk and General Raven before Fleet Admiral Trebonious-Astoris took the podium and delivered his eulogy of the many lost in the attack.
"You all know that the Empire, and the injustice and oppression that is represents, is our enemy. Death, however, is the greatest enemy of all and the common foe of all that live on this galactic disk," Trebonious-Astoris said.
His speech went on to remind everyone in attendance that those who died did so in the defence of freedom from injustice and oppression, and that in doing so they made the ultimate sacrifice by allowing the greatest enemy, death, to destroy them.
Trebonious-Astoris urged those in attendance and who would later watch on holo-cast to fight against the Empire and to validate the deaths of the deceased.
"Respect those who died here in this battle, and join me in continuing their fight against the Empire and against Death itself."
A reprisal operation is currently being planned. However, no official sources have commented on specifics yet.
