ORW Week 5 Results

Greeting fellow members of the RS. ":)
The Rebel Squadrons once again were able to come out on top against the Star Vipers, Vast Empire, and Last Starfighter League in the fifth battle of the Outer Rim War. With 24 points and 36 total matches played, the ground pounders of the Rebel Squadrons Commando Division really came through for the Rebel Squadrons by accounting for all 24 wins accomplished by our combatants.
In ORW news, JK rules have been posted on the website @ http://www.rebelsquadrons.org/outerrim/rules.htm . Also of interest is a bunch of new changes are being worked on to improve the Outer Rim War. For instance, more clubs are being sought out to be brought in so we can expect more opponents to fight against sometime in the future. If you look at the results, not many pilot matches were flown because of lack of opponents. I'd like to encourage all the pilots to keep showing up and not get discouraged, because we're working on that problem and we still need you guys. Also, some other suprises are being worked on to spice things up that you'll see soon.

With the approval of the RS FC and RS Medals Officer, a set of guidlines has been put together to award outstanding participants at the Outer Rim Wars (this is just a reminder). Here's how you can earn the following medals (please note that these are just guidlines for their awarding at the ORW, not actual RS medal descriptions):
New Republic Medal of Honor
- Will be awarded to anyone that achieves over 30 total wins as recorded by the RS Ladder.
Violet Cluster
- Will be awarded to anyone that continually puts forth their hardest effort with many matches played, despite great odds against them.
Alliance Dagger
- Will be awarded to anyone that achieves 6 or more wins in a single ORW night.
Combat Medal
- Will be awarded to anyone that achieves 3 or more wins in a single ORW night.
So, without further ado, there are some elite combatants to commend...
For acquiring 8 (8-0-0) wins in this week's ORW, GEN Kaz Falcion is hereby awarded the Alliance Dagger *†* for significantly damaging the enemy in combat.
For acquiring 7 (7-0-0) wins in this week's ORW, LGN Rahj Tharen is hereby awarded the Alliance Dagger *†* for significantly damaging the enemy in combat.
