ORW Results NL: Week 12
Greetings fellow members of the RS. ":)
Welcome to the ORW Results NewsLetter for Week 12 and the First Battle of the Elornia System. Every week the ORW continues to get better. This was no exception. 171 matches were flown or played, making this by far the most successful competition the Rebel Squadrons have ever participated in. But, even though this was the closest ORW night to date in the Cadrel Expanse Conflict, the fleets of the Emperor's Hammer were able to edge our forces by one whole point and come away with their second straight victory. Throughout the entire battle, the EH held a solid lead, but in the final hour, the heroes of our ground forces were able to cut the lead from 15 all the way to tying it in the final minutes. But alas, it was not meant to be, for a foolish Star Viper pilot charged into an EH Squadron, and met a laser death, breaking the tie for an EH victory. No grudges though...:)
Even though we've lost this first battle for the Elornia System, we're still in great position to win it. We're only down by 3 points in the final standings (because of bonus points). So our key players need to show up next week so we can take the lead!

ORW RSer of the Week:
Instead of just awarding this to one person this week and because there were too many outstanding performances, an RS unit will be receiving the title this time. This unit was directly responsible for 75% (52 out of 69) of our victories this week, and that's why we call them elite. This unit is none other than the Gryphon Commandos of the RSCD. Four members of the Gryphon's were solely responsible for keeping us neck and neck with the EH and almost pulled off a victory in the final minutes of match play. They were all awarded Alliance Dagger's already for their superior efforts. Join me in congratulating this esteemed unit because this week's RSers of the Week come from the Gryphon Commandos. ":)

Closing:
Just like last week, I'll say this one more time:
Now that the EH is in the ORW, we're going to need our more veteran pilots to show up to keep us as a front runner in the competition. The newer pilots have been holding their own and the ground pounders have been carrying us very well every week, but the "old" pilots that flew in the Minos Cluster conflict and the old OR Nights need to wipe the dust off their pilot suits and get back into their cockpits. You guys will be the key to our upcoming victories, so please represent us once again! You guys know who you are. :P

Welcome to the ORW Results NewsLetter for Week 12 and the First Battle of the Elornia System. Every week the ORW continues to get better. This was no exception. 171 matches were flown or played, making this by far the most successful competition the Rebel Squadrons have ever participated in. But, even though this was the closest ORW night to date in the Cadrel Expanse Conflict, the fleets of the Emperor's Hammer were able to edge our forces by one whole point and come away with their second straight victory. Throughout the entire battle, the EH held a solid lead, but in the final hour, the heroes of our ground forces were able to cut the lead from 15 all the way to tying it in the final minutes. But alas, it was not meant to be, for a foolish Star Viper pilot charged into an EH Squadron, and met a laser death, breaking the tie for an EH victory. No grudges though...:)
Even though we've lost this first battle for the Elornia System, we're still in great position to win it. We're only down by 3 points in the final standings (because of bonus points). So our key players need to show up next week so we can take the lead!

ORW RSer of the Week:
Instead of just awarding this to one person this week and because there were too many outstanding performances, an RS unit will be receiving the title this time. This unit was directly responsible for 75% (52 out of 69) of our victories this week, and that's why we call them elite. This unit is none other than the Gryphon Commandos of the RSCD. Four members of the Gryphon's were solely responsible for keeping us neck and neck with the EH and almost pulled off a victory in the final minutes of match play. The newer pilots have been holding their own and the ground pounders have been carrying us very well every week, but the "old" pilots that flew in the Minos Cluster conflict and the old OR Nights need to wipe the dust off their pilot suits and get back into their cockpits. You guys will be the key to our upcoming victories, so please represent us once again! You guys know who you are. :P
The Outer Rim War will only be as good as we make it, so show up and have some fun! Come next week, because there will always be plenty of Imperials to fight against! Also, please be civil and respectful, no matter what the circumstances. This club has principles, and we need to be an example to all the other clubs in the competition. Remember, HIER: Honor, Integrity, Equanimity, Respect!
