Greetings, Members of the RS. ":)
I am greatly pleased to make an announcement I didn't think I'd be making anytime soon. The Rebel Squadrons, as of today, has a brand new webpage. A project which started as simple musing a couple of months ago has now lead to a new, elegant design for our main page. It replaces the hearty page that the RS has been using for over a year now.
The goal of the new page was to provide a fresh, professional appearance. And I believe that goal has been achieved, and then some. But enough talking, for the real thing will speak louder than I can for it. Begin browing the new site by going to

as usual.
You will notice, when browsing around, that the BBS, Roster, and News Center have all been redone to go with the new motif. Fleet NL's and general RS news will all go on the new News Center, so please check there often!
Finally, I'd like to give special thanks to the people that made this project possible. Executive Officer Rahj Tharen and I were most pleased to have a virtual who's who list of RS technical and graphical ability working on this project.
First, a big thanks goes out to Karrade, who served as a special advisor on this project, blessing us with his experience. Thanks Karrade!
Second, thanks to Jinx Katarn, who provided graphical inspiration and is responsible for the front pic on the index page. For his contributions, I am happy to award Jinx with a Merit Commendation. Thanks Jinx!
Third, I would like to thank Rahj for having the vision to take up such a task, and for organizing the list of people who participated with tact and skill. For overseeing this group and keeping things going, I'm pleased to award Rahj with a Merit Commendation as well. Thanks Rahj!
Fourth, much thanks to Python, who provided technical input, created the awesome water pic logo on the site, and composed the theme music which there will soon be the option to play. For such diverse and amazing contributions, I'm happy to award Python with a Kessel Cup. Thanks Python!
Fifth, I would like to thank Dev, who contributed most of the other new pics that are to be found on the site, including several that allowed us to revamp the Offices page. Dev's continued devotion to helping us with websites is astounding, and in recognition of all the help he's given not only on this new site, it is my pleasure to award Dev with the Tatooine Suns. Thanks Dev!
Sixth, much credit is due to Deltan Saviri, without whom the new page would certainly not look as nice as it does. Deltan worked on many different designs until he came up with the one that we have decided to use, and was one of the main contributors to this project. For the big part he played in making this page, I am pleased to award Deltan with the Tatooine Suns. Thanks Deltan!
Last, but certainly not least, I think we all need to take the time to thank our Internet Officer, Shikkie Kaaran. Shik spent countless hours on this project tweaking code for the modules that decorate the sidebar of the new design. Perhaps more than anybody else on the team, he helped pull all the contrasting elements of the design together, making it into something that would work. Shik has certainly gone past what we can expect from any RS member. His contributions include our first automated roster system ever, a news center, a new bbs, and now to this list he adds the new main page. For his extreme dedication to the club, it is my pleasure to award Shik with the Excellency of Service. Thanks Shik!
