***On Board Y-Wing Frenzy 1***

Slyder sat in the cockpit of his craft, the coldness of space still
biting at him through the durasteel canopy. Even with a heavy tint on the glass,
the glare from the blueish-white tunnel that is hyperspace was almost
blinding.
"Micro, turn up the glare compensator another 20%" he said to his
metallic companion seated just behind him. The glass around him suddenly darkend
heavily, concealing Slyder from some more of the harsh light.
The com unit began to crackle, and finally caught on.
"Heh, what's the matter Sly, a little light too much for ya?" came Dew's
more then overtone voice. Slyder looked out his left viewport, to see Dew,
with his compinsator dialed mostly down, waving a gloved hand in his
direction.
"Cute Dew, real cute. If your not carefull, you may get a nice radiation
burn over there." he said, a smirk filling his face enough that the
Brigadeer General no doubtedly saw. For shortly after Slyder made his remark, the
pilot swung around in his seat, and the glass immediately darkend.
Slyder glanced over his left shoulder this time, and Saw spokes in their
escort Xwing shortly behind him.
"You ready man? Intelliance says that defenders should be low, but your
the only Xwing out here, so you never know."
"Heh, with the three of us...what impie stands a chance!" Spokes finished
off, a sence of accomplishment well before the batle filled his voice.
Slyder shook the thought that had overcome him, of previous pilots he
knew with that attitude, most of the never made it out of their first encounter.
He shook his head, trying to shake the notion. Spokes was a good pilot, he
knew that. "Ya, well, were in this for the freighters, u need to cover that
transport while we check things out."
"Gotcha boss."
Slyder paused for a moment. He reached over to his communications panel,
and switched to the general RS frequency.
"Allright fellas, stay frosty. We got reversion in 45 seconds.
Calibretto group, take the back half of the frieghters, if they try to run, distract
them till you ID, if nothing around take 'em out. Dew and I will be fine on
our own, so Spokes will assist you with Cover. Freeto...stay back to avoid
the fight. But if we ID anyhting good, I want you in and out as fast as those
old engines will carry you. Everyone got it?"
A frenzy of affirmative responds came back in excitement...

***On Board Bulk Freighter Kilska 1***
A brilliant flash of bright wight light could be seen, mere clikcs aout
to starboard. Captain Hannti's jaw hung wide open, his mouth seemingly
gasping for air.
"REPORT!" he shouted, turning his attention to the elisted grade to his
left.
"Scans pickup one lone X-wing class, followed closely by one gorup of
three Y-wing class and a group of two Y-wing class. Also, long range shows an
enemy transport at long range."
The captain, allready showing signs of panic, he hung his head low in
defeat.
“Contact Admiral Kunder. Request assistance. Get our few fighters out
there to cover us…”
The captain turned to look out the other window, and saw the shimmer of
enemy ships screaming twoards them.
Under his breath, to no one in particualr, the captain mumbled. “Tell
the Admiral, they are here as planned.” With his head hung low, the first
blue streaks shot fourth from the inbound fighters…

***On Board Frenzy 1***

"Yahoooooo!" Slyder shouted into his mike as he saw the 3 of his torps
slam right into the side of Kelska 4. The ship rocked hard to port,
orangish-red specks of light beggining to shoot from it's side. The freighter tipped
up on it's side, and Slyder pulled up hard on the stick. He swung his head
around in time to catch a glimpse of the Freighter going nova, when a sudden
impact sent his ship careening off course.
"Sith-Spit! What was that?" he asked, panicklly restoring his sheilds.
A loud laugh filled the comm as Dew pulled up on his wing, and gave a
reply.
"You might wanna keep your eyes on the lane of space, you just ran into a
mine." he said, with an apparent lack of simpathy.
"Thanks for the heads up." Slyder replied.
Suddenly, warning lights and claxons went off in his cockpit.
"What the....what's wrong now?" Slyder directed twoards Micro.
But even before Micro replied, Spokes jumped in.
"Uh, well, the welcoming crew is here. Heads up fellas, the ISD Anguish
just arrived, plus a group of guns followed her in."
Slyder turned his head to the massive triangular shape over his right
shoulder. He was close enough that his sheilds were beeing grazed by the
massive Turbo Lasers on the ship. He pushed on the rudder hard right, and pulled
his flight stick up, sending the ship into a flattend out loop, heading right
twoards the ISD. As soon as he came around, the hanger lit up as many
smaller craft exited.
"Looks like the party got a lot more interesting. Calibretto, your on
your own, finish the frieghters. Dew, Spokes, form up on me, lets show these
imps how real flying goes."
Frenzy two came in low and to Slyder's left as PBF 1 went high right, and
accelerated twoards the oncomming fighters. All the while, the enemy had
turned to intercept the new threat to their home.
"Slyder, Dew," came spokes voice, almost pounded out by the sound of
heavy lasers zipping past the canopy, "I'll distract them, you two pick em off
once the follow me..."


On board the CRS Wind Storm, broadcasting from the holo briefing room to the
fleet...

Well, hopefully you didn't allready catch this in an email to you man,
hoped it would be a suprise...
"Commander Spokes, please step forward...for your services with me, and
in recognition of all the work you have done, including correcting the scoring
issues with 305 and 306, as well as completing your set goals with the merit
board...I wanted to give you the Exelency of service, but you allready had
it :P...I here by award you with The Dagger of Courage. The DoC is awarded to
an officer in the RS that goes above and beyond the call of duty to assist
his fellow pilot. Now, I may be the CO, but I am still a pilot. Spokes,
really man, I appreciate everything you've done for me, and the fleet so far.
Don't worry, soon as Fion gets back, he'll get his share :P"

4) PBF Reports---
      For future notice, ALL PBF MRs MUST be sent to myself, as well as the XO
and SO AND your squad egroups account/CO. If they are not sent to all of
the locations, any complaints of missing MRs will NOT be tolerated. I agree
that it has been a pain for the last two missions. I was receiving all reports
for 305, and when I went on Leave, I gave the CS my name and
password for email, but some still got lost. We are merely putting this new
mailing policy into effect to ensure that the pilot MRs are beeing seen by
as many ppl as possible.

5) 305 and 306 standings---
These standings are finished now, and ALL merits have been awarded, check
out the merit board to see what your new patches are.

6) Kerian Halcyon New PBF IO
Okay....Squad COs, make sure your IOs, and wing IOs see this. Commander
Halcyon is our new fleet wide IO. Mainly, his job will be to make sure each
unit has thier own IO. He will also be checking up on web pages to be sure
that they are beeing maintained properly. Contact him if you have any
questions.

The rules for flying the mission are:

1) You may run this mission as many times as you like but you MUST
get the MISSION COMPLETE message and have a valid *.plt file in order
to be eligible for the PBF Medal of victory. In addition, any score
not accompanied by a pilot file for verification will NOT be counted
by the PBF Command Staff.
2) Run the mission as "defect.xwi" ( this will place it as X-Wing
X-Wing TOD 1 Mission 1 ) so that your stats will be recorded in your
*.plt file.
3) Make a new pilot file to run the mission. If you fail the mission
and wish to run it again make sure to use a new pilot file instead of
re-running it with the same pilot. Any pilot file found to be
"unclean" will result in the score NOT being counted by the PBF
Command Staff.
4) Destroying "Friendly" craft to pad ones stats is strictly
prohibited. *.plt files containing "Rebel" craft kills will be
considered invalid.
5) You should also include a written report with your score laser/ion
shots and hits, missile shots and hits and kill totals in the email.
6) Pilot files will be manually calculated using the official
LucasArts scoring chart for X-wing. Anyone interested in obtaining a
copy of this chart, can email me to do so.
7) No individual scores will be changed after the deadline! If a
report is submitted that is never received at the report address
given above, it will not be added after the deadline. Neither will
the PBF CO accept a late pilot file. The only thing that can be
changed afterwards are errors made by the Command Staff.
8) There is a Fleet Wide competition based on this tour. Every pilot
who sends in a valid report will receive 1 merit point. The pilot
with the best overall score for the mission will be awarded a special
PBF Top Gun medal, along with receiving a 5 point bonus in the PBF
Merit System. In addition participating members from the squadron
with the best overall combined score will receive 5 bonus merit
points in addition to "Top Squadron" bragging rights. Also, the pilot
with the top score for each squadron (excluding the winning squadron,
and Top Gun) will receive 3 bonus PBF merit points. The reporting
members of the Squadrons on 2nd and 3rd places will get 2 bonus PBF
merit points.
*Note* In the even that the Top Pilot for the mission also happens to
be in the Top Squadron he may only receive the 5 bonus Credits for
one or the other. Same thing applies to each squadron Top Pilot and
2nd and 3rd place squadrons.
9) Mail problems including undelivered mail and corrupted *.plt files
are not the responsibility of the PBF command staff. If your *.pltfile
becomes corrupted and you do not include a written accounting,
then your score will be counted as "0".
10) If a pilot retires from the PBF at any time during the course of
an active mission after having submitted a report, his report will no
longer count for his former squadron. He will still receive credit
for running the mission, but will be listed as "Inactive".
11) If a pilot transfers from one PBF squadron to another (such as
attaining a squadron CO position) during the course of an active
mission after having submitted a report, his report will will now
count towards the newfound squadron.

I'd like to invite all pilots, new and old, to take part in whatever
activities they have running in the Rebel Squadron's Bar and Grill,
on the Undernet IRC network; #RS_Bar_and_Grill is the name of the
channel. The Patriot Battle Fleet has it's own channel as well, #PBF.
I spend a lot of time on these channels, and it's a good way to
contact me if you have problems. It's also a good way to meet new
people and gather information about the RS. Make sure you're
