RgF NL - 8/30/2001
":)
This is your Acting Fleet CO, General Shikkie Kaaran.
Just some housekeeping things this time around. Those of you who don't know me, I'm also the RSIO, and longtime member of the RDS, RgF XO, and former RgF CO before Raandu and I flip-flopped our command positions here.
As you all know by now, Raandu has resigned from his command of the Renegade Fleet. Until such time as FC Dave appoints a permanent RgF CO I'm assuming the reigns to try and get some s**t done.
I'm appointing RgF SO Gavin Kravis as my Acting XO. ::Waves hand and it is so::
RgF ITOD: Raandu had been tracking the scores for 106 and he's not entered them into the database I created for that purpose, so effectively I have no scores whatsoever. Therefore; I am extending the deadline for RgF 106 for two weeks past the original due date of Aug. 31st. That means all reports for RgF 106 are due by September 14th. Those reports will go to my XO, at sabreslash@aol.com - Squad leaders who have copies of your squadmember's reports (With screenshots) send them to the aforementioned address.
This does not in any way mean I am postponing RgF 107. That mission is nearly completed (I made the rough copy and Gizmo is tweaking it,) we are expecting Saturday as the release date for that mission. Reports for 107 will go to me, rsio@rebelsquadrons.org
IMPORTANT: ALL REPORTS MUST HAVE SCREENSHOTS OF THE FINAL SCORES SCREEN AS WELL AS A TEXT FORMATTED STATEMENT OF STATISTICS (KILLS AND OVERALL SCORE) IN THE BODY OF THE EMAIL. **PLEASE DO NOT SEND BITMAP (.BMP) FORMAT FILES, AS THEY ARE FAR TOO LARGE TO BE SENT VIA EMAIL. USE PAINT, PHOTOSHOP, OR ANY OTHER EDITING PROGRAM TO CONVERT BITMAPS INTO .JPG, .GIF, OR .PNG FORMATS AS THOSE FORMATS OFFER FAR SUPERIOR COMPRESSION THAN .BMP.**
ALSO PLEASE NOTE IN THE SUBJECT OF THE EMAIL "RGF 107 (OR 106 IF YOU'RE SENDING THAT REPORT TO GAVIN) REPORT" SO THAT THEY ARE EASY TO SPOT AND SORT OUT.
Again, RgF 106 reports go to Gavin (sabreslash@aol.com) RgF 107 reports go to me (rsio@rebelsquadrons.org)
On another note, Raandu has the documents and data for the RgF Campaign. As his email address is now not reachable (I attempted upon his resignation to obtain that data from him, and got a 'no such user' error) it appears the campaign is for now on hold, pending re-organization and re-deployment of the activity.
I would like to start some sort of weekly flight night to get some semblance of active multi-player participation going.
Arbitrarily, for now, let's start them on Saturdays, at 2pm EST until 10pmEST, the same as the ORW nights were. On the Undernet in #RgF. I'm not planning any organized "you fly This person" deal. Show up, find matches and fly.
Gavin and I'll personally kick all y'alls asses in what time I can attend. Anyone that beats me gets a lollipop, and possibly a medal. Low-ranking members (first rank level, cadet-2lt) might even get a promotion if they impress me (IE no pansy cheap lag kills in the last 2 seconds to win by one :P) as the only requirement at that level is Squad participation, and a fleet flight night is Fleet level.
Are you man enough to stand up to Shizmo?
I don't think so. bring it punks, show me what the RgF is made of!!!
