I Fleet News
Rumors of ORW 2 continue to spread, but what do we ever see? Well, we're going to start a greater push for this club-wide goal. And by us, I do mean Redemption Fleet. I'll be going to each division and getting things set up for participation in this event, as well as the RS Melee and internal activities. It's time to start kicking ass.
Web page change, we'll be going with a template provided by the Internet Office of the executives. The main reason is the ease of updating, which will keep the pages from getting old. Also, the design looks good, and easy to use. Expect that to actually be completed soon. As in by next NL I'll be saying, "Hey, check out the new web site."
II Division News
Allegiance Wing: An amazing recovery from a time of slacking activity. The AW has increased in size with roughly seven squadrons and a great deal of activity. The Assembly of the Force has divided into a mini-wing consisting of two squadrons. Little bit of work on the web presence, specifically the Manual pages got a make over, with ease of use being the main focus. A wing-wide campaign is also in the projects phase, which means all forty-two members can attend. I don't know if any single channel can handle all that. Big congrats to Toran Celd and Marshal Briggs for their promotions to Major.
Strategic and Tactical Command: Not too much to say. Second Lieutenant Grifter is now Paladin Squadron's commanding Officer. He takes on the role of commanding the second squadron to host the new strategy game Galactic Battlegrounds. Full of control the wing returns to Zsinj, and I expect that he will continue efforts to increase activity here. STC will after all, also have a place in ORW 2. So keep practicing.
Rebel Squadrons Multimedia: Last I heard, a large project is under way involving screen themes. Those of you familiar with screen themes with Windows 98 probably have a good idea of what this means. Sounds, wallpaper, icons, text, everything will get a Star Wars touch, and it will be specific to each fleet. I have seen the test wall paper for the R2F, and it looks good. But I'll wait until they complete the RF's version before handing out any awards.
Vigilance Wing: The lot of you will be receiving a separate email from me a bit later. No news.
III Awards and Promotions
Col. Sienn Sconn, for the amazing turn around in the Allegiance Wing, and your continued dedicated service you are herby promoted to the rank of Brigadier General, and the nice AW paycheck that comes with it.
There's more, but a few things have to be worked out first. I will send a follow-up with more awards.
The only thing left is to remind everyone that if you do not take the time to voice your opinions, you don't frankly have an opinion. Those of you who I never hear from are also unlikely to see your names in any NLs under the awards and promotions section. Just communicate.
