RgF NL 10-2-02
Hey Pilots,
I¡¦ll try to keep this as sane as possible, as I know this may get lengthy otherwise. More than likely I¡¦ll miss something, cause I¡¦ve already forgotten some of the stuff I meant to hit ƒ¼. Oh well, on to the NL.
**RgF Mission Results**
Well, not as good as I¡¦d usually have liked, but it will be rectified. Squad and Wing CO¡¦s, get your butts in gear or I¡¦ll be visiting. There is no excuse for squads not to have a single report. All Medals will be listed in the Medal/Promo Section.
ITOD, RgF Mission 2.05 (hope you guys enjoyed my voice :P):
Top Ace: CPT Felipe Zammit, RDS 10, Kills: 30, Score 46,040
Runner Up: LGN Corran Horn Jr., RDS 11, Kills: 29, Score 45,240
Top Squad: Red Dragon Squadron, 11 reports, Kills: 192, Score: 267,425
Runner Up Lineup: RZA, 4 reports, Kills: 51, Score: 90,400
Jedi, 3 reports, Kills: 43, Score: 53,716
RNK, 2 reports, Kills: 26, Score: 23,860
Twilight, 1 report, Kills: 7, Score: 16500
Top Narrative: LGN Corran Horn Jr., RDS 11
Runner Up: MAJ Blazer, RDS 10
Summary: Well, needless to say I am incredibly happy with RDS, and DOW as a whole. The scores put up by many of these pilots are just astounding, and my hat is off to you. RDS is once again at a point where they can call themselves the ¡§Die Hard Squadron¡¨ once again. Some of the squadrons are fighting a battle to get their pilots to participate, others just plain aren¡¦t. I¡¦d like to see this change in the next mission. As to the Narratives, all I have to say is ¡§Where the heck did narratives come from?¡¨ Good work, both of you, I¡¦m glad to see stories again.
IOTOD, Zodiac Mission 005:
Top Ace: BGN Xtremegene, RNK 8, Kills: 28, Score: 28,350
Runner Up: Gen Gavin Kravis, RDS 3, Kills: 7, Score 24,614
Top Squad: RDS, 6 Reports, Kills: 34, Score: 123,254
Runner Up Lineup: RNK, 1 Report, Kills: 28, Score: 28,350
RZA, 1 Report, Kills: 2, Score: 16475
Top Wing: DOW, all stats same as RDS for Top Squad
Narratives: None at this Time
Summary: Not too happy here. A total of 8 reports for a fleet of 61 pilots is not very impressive. I realize that school is in session and all, and this has to be taken into account, but come on pilots. For those that did participate, I thank you. Props again go to RDS for being the driving force of reports.
**September XvT WoW**
Summary: This was a very entertaining event, and those that participated may well agree. For those of you who don¡¦t know what WoW is, it stands for ¡§Week of War¡¨ and is a week long (24 hours a day) competition between various clubs on the Internet Gaming Zone. We¡¦ve had an XvT WoW both in August and recently in September, so expect one later this month. I promise this time we¡¦ll get more notice to you next time. In any event, 9 pilots from the RS participated and we managed to make 15th in the club lineup. Licah Fox, RDS CO, managed to attain the 24th ranking for ALL pilots involved. Congrats man! There were a few medals handed out for participation in this event from the RS including: MGN Spokes received the Valiance Combat Citation, I received the Alliance Dagger and a Valiance Combat Citation, and CMDR Licah Fox received the New Republic Medal of Honor and a Valiance Combat Citation. Quite impressive! This was a lot of fun, and I¡¦d like to see more participation in the next event.
**Notices and Misc. News**
Based off of the last ITOD and IOTOD mission reports that I received, we will now begin using a standardized reporting model. Frankly I don¡¦t enjoy searching my mailbox or the Database looking for an email address (and the ones that are different from the ones listed are annoying) because the pilot neglected to give their name. After this NL I¡¦ll put out a Memo with the criteria for the report. Nothing difficult, just some basic stuff.
The RgF is still in need of a few good officers. One such (or maybe multiple) officer that is needed is someone to become the first Recruitment and Personnel Flight Officer. If you feel you are great at recruiting, and have people skills, or like history please contact me ASAP. The other area where we need some officers is for mission building. It¡¦d be nice to have a full building team, so if anyone is half-way descent at mission building mail me and Giz ASAP.
RFI is now going to be standardized, based on some logical points brought up by one of our officers that I concur with. From now on, the only missions that may be used in RFI are those that are in the XvT game, Melees, IOTODs, RgF Supported missions, and any of those that are approved by me prior to the month¡¦s RFI start. So if you have any questions on what is approved, see me. An RFI report will come out shortly following this NL.
**Positions in the RGF**
RgF SO: After over a year of service Lamin has decided to step down as RgF SO.
