Greetings ":)

This is the 25th and final newsletter of the Inter-Club Melee. After 24 weeks of competition, it has been decided that the ICM will be shut down. Overall, the ICM was a pretty successful competition. Like in all competitions of its kind, activity was greatest at its inception and then continually declined till the end.

Despite this, I do believe that the ICM fulfilled its main purpose. This purpose was to provide the members of a number of different clubs to have some sort of competition in between the Outer Rim War competitions. The ICM definitely provided that.

So does this mean that the next ORW is finally upon us? Well, that largely depends on the other clubs right now. All of the grunt work is finished, but right now there is disagreement as to how the rules are setup. So it could still be a few weeks off. Until that time, there are still Week of Wars to compete in, so there is always something to do MP wise in this club.

In the rest of this NL, you will find some awards given out to some individuals that proved themselves worthy in this competition.

MEDALS

There are two medals that need to be given out as a result of this competition.

The first of these is for a member that was the most active in the beginning of the competition. This member had an undefeated record of 32-0, but keep in mind that there were a number of weeks before that where the ladder was not in effect. So that win total should be a bit higher. Nonetheless, for completely destroying the competition over and over again and finishing in second place on the ICM ladder, GEN Boid "Gambit" Reaves is hereby nominated for the highest combat medal available in the Rebel Squadrons, the New Republic Medal of Honor! Congrats Gambit, on a job well done.

This next member was the most active player in the Inter-Club Melee throughout the length of the competition. He finished with the most matches, most wins, and finished in first place on the ICM ladder. His record was an impressive 52-5-5 since the ladder system was instituted. For great accomplishments in battle, VA Kaz Falcion is hereby nominated for the highest combat medal available in the Rebel Squadrons, the New Republic Medal of Honor! Congrats Kaz, you truly deserve it.

CONCLUSION

The ICM was a successful competition for the RS. It was a rare instance when the RS didn't come out victorious. Everyone who participated in this event should feel proud.

Until next time, lock and load for the upcoming ORW II!
