I’m happy to announce that the RSCD ITOD is now active, below you’ll find an overview of the way things are going to work. Hopefully I’ll get all the details on a simple website in the next few days, but if you have any questions after reading this feel free to email me.

RSCD Interactive Tour of Duty

The Story-

It’s a time of chaos. The once invincible ranks of the Commando Division have been decimated in the face of a sudden onslaught by unknown forces. Cut off from the rest of the RS with the disappearance of the flagship Vendetta, the surviving RSCD members have gone into hiding in the lower levels of their overrun Knight Spire garrison. Their goal is simple, to survive long enough to determine the identity of this new threat, and find a way to reclaim what has been taken from them.

Missions-

Unlike previous events, this campaign will be very different in it’s makeup, and in the way action will take place. Each month, we’ll take part in a different chapter of an ongoing fictional story telling the tale of the RSCD being assaulted, and it’s members’ attempts to fight back against the unknown assailants. Individual commandos will be given separate missions to complete within JO (both SP and MP). Once finished, the commando will be asked to report either his/her success or failure at achieving the mission goals, and will be given the opportunity to also submit a fictional account of their actions during the mission. At the end of each month, the overall success of all participants will be judged, and the story will progress from there.

Participation-

As stated, participation in the ITOD is a bit more complex than just signing up with a bot and playing another member in a MP duel. Those who wish to be assigned a mission will have the opportunity to do so by emailing me. Once done, an email will be sent containing a fictional introduction for the mission, as well as the overall objectives. All participants are asked to only attempt to complete their mission once, and then to report the outcome. There’s no limit to the number of missions that can be undertaken during each month, but the assignments will become progressively harder depending on how many you’ve had.
