Greetings ":)

Without a doubt, the first battle in the Outer Rim II was a huge success. The Rebel Squadrons proved its might yet again by winning the ground battle and the space battle. All of the the commandos and pilots that participated in this event are to be congradulated on a job well done. This is a great victory for the Rebel Squadrons and an even better way to start off this competition.

The members of the RSCD proved yet again why they are the best in the IRC gaming community by taking first place in Jedi Outcast and finishing first overall in the ground campaign. And in an even better sign of things to come, the pilots of the RS proved that they won't be outdone by placing first place in both XvT and XWA. This just goes to show you the vast improvement of the pilots in this club compared to the last ORW. I have a feeling that the RgF and IBG will be carrying the RS in this competition instead of the infamous ground pounders. This is awesome!

If you are keeping up with the storyline of the ORW II, then you'll know that the winning of the ground and space battles means that the RS has two victories out of a total four for the Elornia System Battle. The next two will be played out next weekend. We are in a great position to take the Elornia System, which is the only system in the Cadrel Expanse that is not in our control. It is fictionally "owned" by the EH, so let's stick it to them and take it from them.

And now on to the results...

RSer OF THE WEEK

For this week's RSer of the Week, I'm going to be a little unorthodox. There were some outstanding individual performances in this battle. Kaz was 16-0, which is amazing. Dragon was 12-1, Rahj 9-2, and Nate was 7-0. Without any of these people's efforts, the RS wouldn't have been victorious. There are a ton of people to choose from. However, there was one member that just seemed to stand out above all the others, based soley on their effort. This person played a total of 11 matches, and while his record wasn't as good as the above mentioned, this person was still a major contributor to the RS' victory. He played XWA, JK, and XvT and did whatever he could just to get a match in. So, for his outstanding efforts and for leading from the front, this week's RSer of the week is LGN Corran Horn, Jr. Congrats Corran, and drinks are on you!

====================
CONCLUSION

Everyone should be very pleased with themselves if you participated. Everyone had fun, got some good gaming experience in, and as an added bonus, we won. Next week may not prove to be so easy however, as the EH may join in. That is still pending. So get out there and practice some more to get ready for some more action.

Until then, be ready to lock and load next week!
