Greetings Members of the Rebel Squadrons,

Once again, I come to you with the announcement that recently a number of Executive Staff positions have become available. Accordingly, I would like to begin to take applications to fill these vacant positions. Therefore, this announcement’s purpose is to request applications from those officers that may be interested in any of the following extremely important Rebel Squadrons jobs. This level of RS leadership is of the highest echelon and comes with great reward, potential, and opportunity…

Rebel Squadrons Internet Officer –

Last week, General Deltan Saviri resigned from the exigent position of Rebel Squadrons Internet Officer due to real life constraints. The Rebel Squadrons Internet Officer (RSIO) is to maintain the RS domain (RS webpages, Roster Database, BBS, email redirects, etc.) to the best of his or her ability, as well as to oversee other internet related activities (such as RS Official IRC Channels). The accuracy and content of all data on the domain is under the control of the RSIO.

This position is perhaps one of the most important jobs of the entire club. As a result, it takes significant internet related skills and a serious work commitment in order to be successful at this eminent post. Experience and demonstrated knowledge of the following skills and coding languages are largely desired, but not necessarily required:

• HTML, CSS
• PHP, MySQL
• Familiarity with Linux OS and Servers
• FTP Skills
• Web design Skills, Graphical Skills

The RS IO will also need adequate leadership, communication, and innovative skills in order to properly manage the Internet Office Staff and to actively pursue new and creative projects to benefit the club.

Please email myself, Admiral Rahj Tharen, (fc@rebelsquadrons.org) and the RS XO, Lieutenant General Tyrell “Spokes” Borran, (rsxo@rebelsquadrons.org) with a formal application if you are interested. Please be able to demonstrate how you meet the aforementioned requirements, what you can bring to the position, why you are the best choice over all others, and any future projects you can present to benefit the RS and the Internet Officer.

Rebel Squadrons Operations Officer –

The Rebel Squadrons Operations Officer (OO) is responsible for overseeing and administering single player and multiplayer club wide events, competitions, and systems of merit, as well as all competitions for the Rebel Squadrons in conjunction with other participating club(s).

Specifically, the RS OO will need adequate leadership, administrative, communication, internet, and innovative skills in order to manage competitions with other clubs, maintain the OO website, write timely Week of War NL’s, maintain the RS Merit System, and to award club combat medals to RS participants. This job is extremely important to the club’s Multiplayer gaming contingent.

Please email myself (fc@rebelsquadrons.org) and the RS XO (rsxo@rebelsquadrons.org) with a formal application if you are interested. Please be able to demonstrate how you meet the aforementioned requirements, what you can bring to the position, why you are the best choice over all others, and any future projects you can present to benefit the RS and the Operations Office.

Rebel Squadrons Deputy Operations Officer –

This officer would simply assist the Operations Officer in the execution of their duties. Please email myself (fc@rebelsquadrons.org) and the RS XO (rsxo@rebelsquadrons.org) with a formal application if you are interested.

Any questions about the abovementioned positions may also be directed to me.

Respectfully submitted,

Admiral Rahj Tharen,
Rebel Squadrons Fleet Commander
