Green Squadron NL 22 April 2003
Firstly I appologise for my irregualr activity of late... e-mail troubles, work, racing and Easter have all had their grubby little hands in the pot mark 'Rezmann's Spare Time' lately, though I have managed to beat Easter into submission for 12 months, the e-mail troubles have cleared up until they strike again on a random date decided by the most evil of all the Empires... Microsoft.

PBF 4.12
-------------
There is a week left to report on PBF 4.12, so far I have seen only 4 reports, from Jordi, Nils, Raistlin, and myself. I have listed the top 10 overall plus Green's individual scores below.
My score has improved again, not enough yet to move from 3rd place, but I know how to get both FRGs now and will likey do so on my next run.
Rank Pilot Kills Score Squad
1. LCL Lightning 29 65,234 Sabre Squadron
2. COL Fion "Zero" Grell 36 64,280 Crimson Squadron
3. CMDR Daniel Rezmann 30 59,623 Green Squadron
4. CPT Jordi Fett 32 53,831 Green Squadron
5. 1LT Kiwi 23 51,072 Gold Squadron
6. BGN Snappleguy 23 49,650 FireClaw Squadron
7. LGN Tyrell "Spokes" Borran 29 46,961 Gold Squadron
8. ADM Rensal Darklighter 21 46,608 Blue Squadron
9. 1LT Steve Hawkins 27 46,420 Red Squadron
10. CMDR Menshk Vrei'Sik 26 46,203 FireClaw Squadron
19. 1LT Raistlin 21 39,213 Green Squadron
24. LCL Nils Omar ad Handan-Sira 18 37,442 Green Squadron
As a squadron we currently reside in 4th place, the best of the squads with less than 5 reports, and it is worth noting that we are currently just one average report from top spot, though this will change as the other squadrons start to get more reports in, and as history shows, pilots like Spokes who are likely sitting on big scores we have yet to see.
Rank Squad Kills Score Reports
1. Crimson Squadron 125 222,865 5
2. Red Squadron 118 212,657 5
3. Gold Squadron 105 200,581 5
4. Green Squadron 101 190,109 4
5. FireClaw Squadron 87 170,825 4
6. Blue Squadron 46 92,259 2
7. Sabre Squadron 29 65,234 1
8. Jade Squadron 0 0
9. Phoenix Squadron 0 0

PBF 4.12 TACTICAL NOTES
---------------
1. You do not require a wingman
2. There are at least 3 waves of TIE Bombers, it is extremely hard to draw out the 3rd wave but you can do it if you concentrate solely on killing the 1st 2 waves at the start of the mission...
3. You must keep an eye on the status of the FRG Staves when it goes hull damage, count to fire a single missile, then a dual shot. (ordering the Y-wings to wait makes this a lot easier but opens up the Echo Hawk to more fire.)
4. Now you must seriously reduce the number of enemy fighters, I suggest killing 3 B-wings and surviving TIE Bombers (? waves of 3) as fast as possible then the A-wings (1 wave of 3), and 2 or 3 x-wings.
5. The second FRG should be near to dying by now, send the Wishbones home and use the same missile tactics to try claim the kill.
6. Once the FRG's are dead, play with the one B-wing, stopping it from launching any attacks on the Echo hawk and Simultaniously keeping the X-wings occupied.
7. Once the Echo Hawk escapes, kill the B-wings (3 waves of 4 total), keep them away from the CRS's or they will get torn appart.
8. With the B-wings dead, kill the X-wings (3 waves of 4 total)
9. Do a fly by of the Windstorm bridge, land and have a beer.
-----------------------
THE END OF TOUR 4
-----------------------
PBF 4.12 also marks the end of Tour 4, overall it looks like Green will lock down 3rd place over all, with little chance of us making up the 500k to Gold, and no chance of red making up a million points on us.
This will be a great result, as in the early days of the tour we were only operating with around 6 or 7 pilots following Dews departure, and this is where Fireclaw and Gold got the break on us...
My goals upon taking command were to consolidate 3rd palce and get a win for Green by the end of the tour.... we managed this twice and we still have time to win for a third time.
So good work to all who flew during the course of the tour,

RANKS AND STUFF
----------------------
Just in case you have been living on a cave on Dagobah, there was a change in the rank system a week ago, followed quickly by a - err 'small' group comprising 75% (according to the poll) of the RS disagreed with the new system, and this move has thus been reversed. So if you noticed a change to your rank last week, it will no longer appear and will have reverted to what it was prior.
----------------------
BEER TOUR MISSION 3
----------------------
I keep saying next week.... well the mission is ready to go, but I'm yet to see any reports on Mission 2....
---------------------
GREEN WEBSITE
---------------------
If anybody has anything of interest for the website, or some suggestions, speak to myself or Nils.
I have been recently sifting through the old yahoogroup to see what I could find... soem interesting things have popped up, and hopefully once I have finished fishing, some of it will be posted on the site.
And can somebody tell me the story behind 'Kameltiger'.......
I'm thinking an honour roll for the site might be good, listing all who have been here before us, and honouring those whose services were exceptional.
-------------------
MEDALS
-------------------
I'm thinking of adding a series of Green Squadron medals, to be awarded for activity in the Beer Tour, writing of narratives and excelling in the main PBF ITOD storyline, plus maybe some long service awards.
If anybody has any ideas for medals or awards, let me know.

OTHER NEWS - AS RECORDED FROM THE HOLONET
-------------------
In what can be described only as wierd, Lt Col Nils Omar ad Handan-Sira was spotted taking orders from a Lemming. Security were called, suspecting the Lt Col was rather intoxicated at the time, the bridge of a Mon Calamari cruiser obviously not the best place for a drunk. Several tests were taken, all comong up without a positive reading for alcohol, though there were traces of some prescribale drugs. Futher investigation disciovered that the Lemming infact contained the still concious body of LCM Jack "Blazer" Barnes and somebody called Vender. Video surviellence caught footage from onboard the CRS Windstorm of what appears to be Major Barnes, the lemming and an assasin droid in one of the warships corridors. In what appears to be a brutal attack, the assasin shot the Major at point blank range with a stun weapon then force fed him to the lemming.
How Vender is was consumed by the lemming is still unknown.
Lt Col Nils Omar ad Handan-Sira has since been released from custody, apparently on orders from COl Carilla Shay. The security troops still at this stage remain too shocked and speechless to pass comment.
Also in the news today, a Madi Gras festival parade was held on the outer rim world of Namosonia. The parade featured the usual assortment of all beings dressed in drag, and even featured an X-wing with pink paint. The pilto was also dressed up in pink and we commend CMDR Argon Viper for his courage in showing support for a galactic minority. CMDR Viper refused to comment, but was later heard to thank his commanding officer for the 'special assignment'.
In trading news, share prices on Bouldan IV plummetted to all time lows today as the director of the Bouldan Brewing Corporation revealed the theft of 95% of its beer stocks in a daring raid by a small band of pirates, though some sources claim it was infact the infamous Green squadron once again. A firefight ensured during which several imperial troops were gunned down. None of the pirates were captured.
In related news, beer prices on Imperial worlds rose by 400% as bars and taverns across the galaxy prepared to cash in on the thefts.
A bounty of 42000 credits has been placed on the head of CMDR Rode Mitchell, 20000 credits if the body is still attached to the heads. The bounty has been posted by an Imperial warlord whose daughter, Julijana Frost, CMDR Mitchell has been galavanting around the outer rim with. Fleet Admiral Markus 'Icy' Frost. Bounty hunters across the galaxy are currently searching for the fighter pilot. This is not the only price on CMDR Mitchell, several breweries have also joined forces to place a price on him after a series of raids on wharehouses across the galaxy.
So all you bounty hunters out there get hunting.
And now for the weather...
HOTH: cold and windy, snowfalls and a possible blizzard expected across the night.
TATTOOINE: Hot, dry and dusty. 0% chance of rain.
sunrise at 06:07 and 06:35
sunset at 18:59 and 19:21
MON CALAMARI: Waves of 1 - 4 meters in the south and waves of 3 - 8 meters in the north... generally a good day for surfing all round.

AND FINALLY A WORD FROM ONE OF OUR SPONSORS
