::In the Rebel Fist's Hangar::
Garrik Loran landed his black Xwing on the hangar deck next to the shuttle.
"TwoTone, do the shutdown for me."
Face hopped down the ladder and jogged over to the shuttle. Some four or five people walked down the shuttle ramp quickly, and saw Face.
"Garrik Loran?"
"I am General Loran. Welcome aboard the Rebel Fist."
"We're here to speak with the IBG's Commanding Officer. It's an emergency."
"Thank you. I apologize for the rush of all this."
"It's ok, we haven't seen much action lately," Face motioned his hand to the exit. "If you'll follow me, we'll get to the meeting room as quickly as possible."
"Lead away."
Face turned and lead the group out of the hangar and through the corridors of the Rebel Fist.

::Moments later, in the meeting room::
The visitors sat quickly, looking gravely at Gab. Face took his seat on the right of the IBG CO.
"Let us get to business, shall we?" said the newcomers. "I know your time is as limited as ours."
Face smiled and looked at Gab.
"Go ahead," said Gab.
The man who seemed to lead the group nodded. "A few weeks ago, we learned that a star system in this sector is about to go supernova destroying everything in the system. One of the planets in it is inhabited, and needs immediate evacuation. We need to evacuate the people with ships, with armed escort if possible."
"Armed escort?," Gab asked. "Why would that be necessary?"
"Do you fear any attacks from someone? Like, that group that tried to kill you as you came here?"
"I'm sure you noticed a pirate group hot on my shuttle's tail as we flew in. They're fanatics from the planet, that believe it is their destiny to die on that planet. Any other fate to them is unacceptable."
"Interesting," Face mumbled.
"Hardly. They're crazy, and they'll kill their own people if they are moved. Their religion is fairly strict, or at least, this particular cult is."
"So they'll attack anyone trying to save the inhabitants of that planet from their... 'destiny'?" Gab said, already knowing the reply.
"Have you tried compromising?" asked Face.
"We've tried compromising, but they won't listen. They believe that their star exploding is a sign that their time has come. If they do not die, they believe it could have serious consequences in their after life. They fear it more than death. So, it is a serious problem. The majority of inhabitants don't share the same opinion. Thus, we need armed escort."
"Do you know where these fanatics are staging from?" Face turned to face Gabrich. "If we know their location, we can deal with them in one swift stroke. Or at least prevent them from continuing with their attacks."
"If we knew, we would have them all in custody. They're quite good at standing aloof."
Face leaned back in his chair.
"Your people need to be saved," Gab said, looking grave. "But those fanatics are going to be a problem."
The representatives looked towards Gab. "We have approval from your government for you to take this assignment. But they said it was up to you. Voluntary... that's why I came personally."
"We'll have to fight and kill people in order to save the majority."
"Most of us are willing to take that chance. Nothing is worse than having your home world being destroyed."
Face looked at Gab. "I'll send the nearest ship into their system. Prevent further attacks until we get there." Gabrich nodded at Face, and sat thinking for a while, quietly. After some seconds, he stood up and spoke.
"Ok. You have our support," he said at last.
Face followed suite. The representatives stood as well, and nodded to the IBG CS in appreciation. "Thank you."
"If you don't mind..can I be escorted from this area? I really do need to get going. I have many more visits like this to make. Those fanatics have been behind me the whole time."
"You should get some rest here before heading out again. We can recall one of our squadrons to provide support for you when you leave," said Face.
"Well, I am a bit tired."
Face pressed a button and called in an Ensign to escort the representatives to quarters.
"I'll start working on an evac plan immediately." Gabrich shook the representatives' hands, as the door opened showing the young Ensign who Face had just called.
"Thank you again," they said, and they followed the officer to their provisional quarters. Gab, Face and Vender could now get to work.
Face walked over to a terminal and started accessing info. "Dagger squadron is the closest unit. Send them in?"
"I would." Vender commented.
Face turned towards Gab for final approval.
"Send them."
Face tapped a few more buttons. "Order sent. They should arrive within 36 hours."
"Well, everyone. Let's get this done."

::Hours later, in Gab's office::
Brigadier General Gabrich Varmer looked concerned as he opened the packet. He'd just called Talon Wing, in the Base that the IBG held in the Cadrel Expanse, to join the rest of the fleet for an immediate planetary Evac operation. But he didn't want to leave the base undefended, and he'd decided to inform HC and the RS FC of his newly adquired duty, while asking for help to protect his base as he was out with his fleet. A ship carrying that info through hyperspace was the quickest and safest way to deliver such a message, but it still took hours to get the reply. He was about to read it now.
"What's on it?" asked Vender.
"Rahj says no fleets can spare any of their squads right now," Gab said. "But..."
"But?"
"The PBF is quite close to us, and Spokes says he's sending in his voluntary group, since the Grey Alpha doesn't need their support as of now."
"Are they sending PBF OpLan in??" Vender asked, smiling.
"So it seems."
"Are you sure we have enough beer on that base? I mean, I can't imagine their rage if they find no beer," Vender half-joked.
"Oh my... you're right..."

NEWS & ANNOUNCEMENTS
Okay, this is my first newsletter as IBG CO. Sorry it took so long, I've been pushed by all kind of RL issues, but it's here now and I expect to be writing one every fortnight at least. Except when I'm on LOA, which will happen really soon due to finals. :P
On to the news:
1) The IBG has a new SO! Well, I bet you all noticed already. RA Adam "Vender" Fene comes back to the IBG CS. As the IBG SO, Vender's task will be mostly taking care of any MultiPlayer gaming related issue, as well as other occasional tasks in benefit of the fleet.
I wish to express my thanks to all those who showed their towards this fleet with their applications. It's greatly appreciated.
2) IMPORTANT. The fleet CS and the FC already know this, but it's time for the fleet to know as well.
The IBG is going back to two wings. This means that, as soon as the Talon ships join the rest of the fleet in the next mission, Talon will be considered disbanded. The DREAD Resurrection, home of Phalcun Squad, will join the Chiin'Tal task force, and the MC40a Madron will join Titan's task force. Thus both squads return to their wings of origin.
The reason for this is simple: we don't need to find the CS for three wings if we can have our squads organized in just two.
3) CPT Chrys Cortan can now be considered no longer Phalcun CO. His inability to give any signal of activity has forced me to remove him, and ask anyone in this fleet if they'd like to succeed Chrys in the CO seat. Send me your applications, but notice that if you're picked and you're not in Phalcun Squadron, you will be transfered.
4) The Inter-Club Traning Night will be on TODAY AT 4pm EST! This is 9pm in England and 10pm in most of Europe. Make sure you get there and you, well, train. :P
