I'm BGN Gabrich Varmer, IBG CO, in the Fleet NewsLetter for this fortnight.
NEWS & ANNOUNCEMENTS
This week we have fresh and very important news! Check the first two sections to find out.
1) NEW MULTIPLAYER ACTIVITY. This is very good news - I am most pleased to announce that the Domination League will be fully working by Wednesday, we hope. A new competition, the Starfighter Circuit consisting basically in competitive races, is scheduled to start working by next Wednesday too! An email will be sent to the whole fleet with more detailed info about these new activities. (The weekly Inter-Club Training Night is still on, every Saturday from 4 EST at #Outerrim, at any Undernet server. Get there to try your skills against some of our allied clubs' pilots)
2) ACADEMY RESTRUCTURATION. As you have probably heard from the RS CO or XO in previous RS-wide announcements, the RS Academy has been basically disbanded (as a fleet), and the powers regarding UnderGrad training have all been transfered to the RS fleets. Some of you may know already that a new UG system by MGN Garrik Loran was being tested in some of our squadrons. This innovative system seemed to work out pretty well, and since we now have powers to have the kind of UG section that we prefer, we have decided to implement it as soon as we can. The work for this is still being done, so the current UG will still last for a while. This new system will consist in placing the Cadets directly in the different Squadrons, in additional slots shown in the RDB, and created specifically for them. There, they will start getting used to the dynamics of being part of an IBG squad from the very begginning, and they will learn what we want them to know - cooperation, how to run and report our REAL missions, having fun with their squadmates, in brief, what this fleet is supposed to be about. Then, when some requirements have been fulfilled, the cadets will be promoted to pilots and transfered into one of the regular slots of the squadron. We are looking forward to seeing this system in action, and we expect the kind collaboration of all our current IBG pilots in making our future recruits feel at home from the very start of their career. Thanks in advance for this project you all are going to participate in.
3) CMDR Rakiki is back as Phalcun Squad CO. Everyone, beware. Especially the Phalcuns. :P
With this, the CS for the IBG is mostly complete. However, our numbers are but growing, and we *may* have to reopen Talon Wing to place our new recruits, even before the IO takes it off the RDB! That would be funny. :P
4) LCL Cephisus Balder, ITOD Team CO and currently leader of the whole PostGrad Academy, has informed us that the MP postgrad section, led by our SO, RA Adam "Vender" Fene, is now open.
