Major General Sienn "Morningstar" Sconn took the podium following the
awards ceremony. "Now that I've given out the congratulations, it's
that time of the month again." From behind him in their chairs, Sconn
heard Rich and Ent chuckling softly. Shooting them a pointed glare,
Sconn resumed his speech. "Erm...not THAT time of the month, I mean.
Uh...right. Well, pilots, we've just finished up the second ever
Renegade Fleet Tour of Duty. I trust everyone enjoyed the celebration
festivities." Looking over at Resurrection Squadron's contingent and
noting both the CO and XO passed out, slumped over each other, Sconn
remarked, "...apparently some of us more than others. Right now, we're
just getting our final resupply shipments, and with any luck, Vice
Admiral Tharen will send the new orders my way sometime soon so we can
get underway." Assorted boos and groans filled the briefing room, but
they were suddenly silenced by the sound of the door opening and a
bridge lieutenant scrambling in. "General Sconn sir, distress call
from Platform Dakinam in the Meridian Cluster! It's urgent.", the
young man shouted. Sconn grabbed the comlink off his belt and got the
rest of the report from the Ad-Astra's captain. Speaking back to the
RgF pilots, Sconn relayed the message. "Intelligence is still sketchy,
but they're under attack from an Imperial warship of some kind,
probably with a full compliment of fighters." Turning to the acting
Executive Officer, Sconn continued. "Ent, dispatch the Blaze of Glory
and the Kayak from Guardian Task Force." Rich interrupted, "Sienn,
we've got the Peacekeeper out there." "It's decomissioned," Ent
replied. Sconn shook his head to clear his thoughts. "Well...we'll
check it out anyway." Turning back to the podium mike, Sconn made the
announcement to the strangely attentive crowd. "Exodus Squadron will
ship out on the Kayak as reinforcements...all other pilots scramble to
the hangar to get your assignments, c'mon people, let's move!"

...and with that, we start ITOD 3. I've got a few things to wrap up
from 211 though, so bear with me.

I. Announcements--
--Interclub Training Events are still taking part on Saturdays in
#outerrim

--RgF 301 is now out. It's due September 4th at 11:59 PM. It can be
downloaded here:
http://www.rebelsquadrons.org/roster/itodfiles.php?action=main&fleet=4

II. 211 Results

Participation here was as decent as can be expected for the summer, but
let's see if we can pick it up heading into the school year.

Top Wing goes to Guardian Wing

Top Squad: Dragon Squadron with a combined score of 114,210.

Top Gun: Leading Dragon Squadron and singlehandedly outscoring all the
squadrons in the process, Dragon's XO, Captain David!

Also, I'd like to take this time to give some credit to Rza, who had 5
reports and took second place. They had more reports than any other
squadron.

III. Promotions and Awards

Well, most everyone got their awards earlier tonight, but I do have one
promotion to hand out.

Captain David, step forward. You've been nominated by your CO, Daryus,
for promotion to the rank of Major. In light of his recommendation
that highlights your diligency in tasks, mission building competence
and dedication to Dragon Squadron, Guardian Wing and the RgF as a
whole, and confirmed by your outstanding job on RgF 211, I hereby
promote you to the rank of Major, with all rights and priviliges there
unto.

IV. Closing
Well, this may or may not be the last NL y'all get from me for a while.
I can't remember exactly when Gavin comes back, but I know it
shouldn't be too much longer. As for me, I'll be taking a LOA starting
on August 13th to move to college in South Carolina and get settled in
there. I'm expecting the length to be anywhere from a week to three
weeks as I get settled in and uh...adjusted. Of course, Ent will be in
charge until either I or Gavin gets back (whichever comes
first)...anyway, it's been fun being in charge for the last few months
or so, thanks for bearing with me, and I'm looking forward to new
growth here in the near future!

-Major General Sienn "Morningstar" Sconn,
RgF XO
