Major General Javin Ke'ylle, better known amongst his pilots as "Entropy", sat on the podium in the Renegade Fleet briefing room aboard the MC90-class Star Cruiser Ad Astra. Nursing a large cup of caf, he flipped through several reports on his datapad, checking the status of several groups of people under his command. To his left sat General Richard Gross, quietly discussing several topics of interest with one of the Ad Astra's numerous aides. To his right sat...

"Rich, where the hell is Sconn?" Entropy whispered, suddenly realizing the seat to his right was empty. Rich interrupted his conversation with the aide long enough to glance over at the empty seat normally occupied by the Renegade Fleet Commanding Officer, Lieutenant General Sienn Sconn.

"I don't know," Rich shrugged. "Haven't seen him since last night. Judging from the noise down the hall last night, though, I'd imagine he's recovering from an over-indulgence in either alcohol or glitterstim."

"That was him? Dammit. Like he's the only with a hangover this morning?" Entropy complained. "Figures. Just like him to not bother to show up and leave me with the task of beating this lazy fleet into shape. Tell me again why I put up with this?"

Rich gave Entropy an odd look. "Depends. It's either because of the immense pleasure you have of dealing with High Command on occasion or the easy availability of alcohol to the Renegade Fleet Executive Officer."

"Oh right. I forgot about the alcohol. Now I remember." Entropy got up, strolled over to the podium, and glanced out over the assembled Renegade Fleet pilots.

ITOD 03 Mission 04 Results

First off, I'd like to state just how disappointed I was with the turnout of this mission. 17 reports from a fleet of 60 people is well... sad. Even worse is the participation of our dearly loved Fleet CO's and Fleet Commander's own squadron, Red Dragon. I'm pretty sure that entire squadron must have fallen out of the airlock somewhere, because they didn't send it a single report, even though 8 of the people in that squadron aren't LOA or AWOL. It's really too bad I can't create medals on the spot, cause I think RDS deserves the very first RgF Slacker Squadron medal. The rest of the squadrons shouldn't feel much better, since the highest number of reports from a single squadron was 4. Squadron COs, I think it's time you started putting some effort into getting your pilots active again. If this trend continues, pretty soon this fleet will have only one member, and I hate bossing myself around. I'd like to see some communication out there, people.

End rant and on to the results. Congratulations go out to our Top Ace, Licah Fox. Licah again captures the top honors with a mission complete score of 23,644, almost 10,000 more points than the next person in the standings. And with that well-timed top score, Licah helps Jedi Squadron once again take the Top Squad honors home. Congratulations to Licah and Jedi Squadron. Medals and merits for this mission will be awarded some time in the near future.

ITOD 03 Mission 05

RgF 305 has not been finished as of the writing of this newsletter. As soon as the RgF CS gets it, we'll release it to everyone. Because the holiday season is rapidly approaching, which invariably leads to lots of vacations, drunkenness, and family functions (not necessarily in that order), I'm going to say that even if we do get it in the immediate future, we won't make the due date until the end of January. So enjoy the time off and the holiday season.

Command Vacancy

LCL Talon Starblazer has recently announced that he is going to be resigning from the RgF due to real life constraints. While we all congratulate him on finally attaining that long sought after RL job promotion, he will be sorely missed. This leaves the Scorpion Wing in need of a Commanding Officer (CO). Anyone who would like to apply for the job, please email the RgF Command Staff (motters@cleamson.edu, entropy@rebelsquadrons.org, rs_richard_gross@hotmail.com). All applications will be accepted and considered. Feel free to include any information you feel relevant, such as previous command history, goals and plans, etc.

Talon, we appreciate your long-time service to the RgF and wish you well in your future endeavors. Hopefully, we'll see you back some time in the future. In the meantime, I'll see what kind of medal we can get out of Sconn for you ;)

Activity Reminders

The Inter-Club Training Event (ICTE) is held every Saturday beginning at 4 PM EST. To participate, join an UnderNet IRC server and go to channel #outerrim. This event is a perfect place to practice those ailing XvT multiplayer skills against some pilots from other clubs. RS merits (NOT RgF merits at this time) are awarded for participation if you report your matches at http://www.rebelsquadrons.org/icte/.

The December Week of War (WoW), sponsored by BattleStats.com (BSC), will be held starting on Friday, December 19th at 2 PM and ending Friday, December 26th at 2 PM. This is another great place to compete against other XvT MP players on the Zone. To play, you must have a BSC account and an MSN Gaming Zone account. RgF merits are awarded for participation in the WoW, based on a number of factors. You don't have to win to get merits, so feel free to go out there and get your butts kicked if you want.

Closing

That's it for this month. Let's see some more participation in the ITOD when 305 gets released, please.

As always, should you have any comments/questions/concerns/etc., feel free to contact the RgF CS. That whole open door thing and what-not. And I hope everyone will have a happy, enjoyable, and SAFE Christmas and New Year's. For those of you who are of age, please don't drink and drive. For those not of age, please don't drink and drive :P. Holidays should be a time of fun and enjoyment, not hospital or cemetery visits. Be safe.

MGN Javin "Entropy" Ke'ylle
Renegade Fleet, Executive Officer
