High Command News Flash
Wednesday, October 27, 2004
---------------------------

Greetings! With the recent retirement of Admiral Kaz Falcion from the position of Rebel Squadrons Executive Officer, I am performing the duties of the position until a permanent replacement is found. I thought I would bring back the High Command News Flash. This is a summary of what High Command has been discussing, and is an excellent way to keep up on what the latest changes might be. I\'ll also include other information that pertains to High Command.

- RSXO Retirement
As I mentioned earlier, Kaz has retired as RSXO. Please wish him well. Kaz served as RSXO for a little over a year, and performed a number of duties, most notably leading the RS in the three months that Gavin was gone this summer. He can still be found on IRC most days, so he hasn\'t gone too far away.

- RFCO Appointment
General Sienn \"Morningstar\" Sconn has been appointed Redemption Fleet Commanding Officer. In the past, he has been Allegiance Battle Group CO and Renegade Fleet CO. Best of luck to Sconn.

- Battlefront
This much-advertised new game is finally getting underway in the RS, and has landed in the RSCD. Under the command of Brigadier General Zeke Freeman, this game will hopefully bring new life to the RS. HC is in the process of obtaining a server for Battlefront, so we will be able to enjoy the game on our own grounds soon.

- Restructuring
HC is discussing restructuring the Rebel Squadrons. The leadership has noticed that activity is declining in areas in the RS, and we think that it may be time for some change. After much discussion, a small committee was formed to present a solution to High Command and the club. The club will be surveyed concerning the new system once a proposal is complete. The solution will likely involve altering our current fleet structure.

- Recruitment & Retention
HC has agreed that recruiting and retaining new people is a problem, and the chief difficulty lies in a couple of problems: not enough people recruiting, and new members leaving right away and never being active. I\'m personally working on these two problems and am looking for people willing to visit Star Wars-related websites and advertise the Rebel Squadrons.

These have been the recent major discussion topics on High Command. If you have any questions, feel free to contact your fleet CO or myself.
