Greetings members and officers of the Rebel Squadrons,

This is my first fleetwide address as new Chief of Staff after General Fox's resignation from the post on Monday, so I hope you'll bear with me.

First of all, let me quickly introduce myself since most of you most certainly do not recognize me. I have been serving the RS since September 2003, mostly in the Patriot Battle Fleet. Since June, I have been serving as RS Historical Officer and brought some changes to the office while adding to the vast information stored there. It is my hope that I can take what knowledge I have gained from reading the RS\' history and assist in my duties as Chief of Staff. In real life, I am a senior in high school recently accepted into Cornell University's School of Engineering.

Most of the executive office functions are staying as they are, but there will still be a change made. These changes will affect what is now the Logistics Office. The current Logistics Office will be separated into a new Logistics Office, led by Commander Max Cal, with focus on the construction of RS gaming information and custom missions/levels sites in conjunction with the Internet Office. The second part will be a new office called the Publications Office, whose goal is to reinstate the Rebel Squadrons Nesletter (RSNL).

The current structure of the Executive Staff can be viewed here:

I would also like to welcome Vice Admiral Tyrell "Spokes" Borran and Rear Admiral Adam Fene to the Executive Staff. Admiral Borran serves as Assistant Operations Officer, having helped keep the InterClub Training Event (ICTE) and Weeks of War running smooth. Admiral Fene serves as head of the new Publications Office and will be working on drafting the RSNL for a release on a date to be set at a later time.

There are still vacant positions within the Executive Staff. These positions are open to any member within the Rebel Squadrons for application. Applications are being accepted for the following positions:

-Internet Graphics Officer: The RS is in need of someone who is able to create quality graphics for use in our websites. For more information, contact General Snappleguy, Internet Officer.

-Training Officer and Assistant Training Officer: The Training Office is not responsible for individual fleet academies. However, plans are underway to reinstitute the postgraduate academies that include mission-building and skill advancement. For more information, you may contact me.

-Assistant Logistics Officer: The Assistant Logistics Officer will coordinate with the Logistics Officer on its current projects of gaming information and compilation of custom missions. Future projects include the reimaging of the RS Order of Battle and Planetary Database. For more information, contact Commander Max Cal, Logistics Officer, or myself.

-Assistant Publications Officer: The Assistant Publications Officer will help with the publication of the RSNL periodically. Duties include selecting articles that will be published and determining content. For more information, contact Rear Admiral Adam Fene, Publications Officer, or myself.

You may submit your applications at the RS Jobs Center (http://www.rebelsquadrons.org/jobs/) at the top of the page.

If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me. I am available to help in whatever way I can.

Thank you for your time and attention.

":)
