Greetings to the Rebel Squadrons,

I have been planning to send out a Fleetwide Address since being elected to Fleet Commander, but I am much more pleased to be able to announce that the Dark Jedi Brotherhood is sponsoring an Inter-Club Event with the Rebel Squadrons.

This is not a \"typical\" competition like the Outer Rim Wars or the Week of Wars (WoW) that are game-specific. The Independence Games are intended to be Fun first and foremost and as wide-ranging as we can be creative. For example, the last Independence Games had a Poetry Writing competition.

Game specific events are also allowed, but they need to be \"unusual\" and not just \"High Score\" missions. Although the DJB has ruled out the TIE Fighter platform because they have no one who plays the game, every other game is on the table.

We need anyone who is interested to submit ideas and/or missions to Jon Anchorage and to me so that we can submit them and see which events/games/missions get into the Independence Games.

Again, this competition is open to everyone and everyone is encouraged to submit suggestions for the Games.
