Although many of you don't play multiplayer, I thought you might be interested that the Rebel Squadrons finished in 1st place in two interclub competitions which took place at the same time (15th-22nd September)!!
Hosted by www.battlestats.com (BSC), there was the 98th Week of War for X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter. The RS finished in 1st place with 4 participating players of which three players were rated. The dominant pilot who made the 1st place for the RS possible was BGN David "Heavy" Pasiechnyk. Also CPT Keldar "Whisper" Wenn and myself helped to get the RS rated. Thanks to 2LT Hyde for representing the RS by playing a few matches. The results can be checked here:

Hosted by www.eclipticalrealms.com (ER), there was the first Galaxy Week for Empire at War. Similiar to the WoW event on BSC, the RS finished in 1st place with 4 participating players of which three players were rated (what coincidence!). The player who didn't have a single loss and who finished in 1st place in the player rating list was LGN Michael Raven. LGN Raven is known to be an unbeatable EaW player for quite some time, this result is awesome anyways. Credits go also to SA Super and BGN Cyrel Vandroth. Without any of these three officers the first place wouldn't have been possible. Thanks to 1LT Feak Duran for showing up at the event. Check the results here:

Thank you everyone for participating. I hope you had as much fun as it looks like you had.
Although it is very cool that the Rebel Squadrons finished in 1st place in two events, winning is NOT what this is all about. It's about to have fun and a good time with your RS mates. As for future events, don't care about points, get out there, and lets have some fun together, even if we should get our butt kicked. ;-)

P.S. I haven't gone much into detail for the event results, as the offical results are not posted yet, so player placements may change a bit. The top placements of the RS won't be influenced though.

Hehe Feak. Although you didn't get rated, you did more than most other RID members in this event, therefore some recognition was deserved. :P Don't be afraid to get more matches in next time. I mean, if I stopped participating in MP events just because I got my butt kicked every time, I wouldn't be around anymore. :) MAJ Olias - Wed Sep 27 2006, 11:12am
