Greetings RS members,
This is a reminder that Outer Rim War 3: The Subterrel Conflict starts this Saturday. The Subterrel Conflict is a massive multiplayer competition which pits the RS as part of a "Rebel" faction against our fictional Sith and Imperial enemies. Do you want to play XvT, XWA, EaW, JA, JO, BF, or BF2 against others on behalf of the RS? If so, this is your chance. Please read on for more details.

When: 9am EST Saturday, February 3rd all the way through 12 am EST Sunday, February 4th
Where: #Outerrim on the Undernet
Who: For help, look for Karel, `Davery, Spokes, or Malidir. Any of us would be happy to help you.
Why: It's fun and will be rewarding!
-=Rewards=-
The RS Operations Office has decided that it will generously reward participation in The Subterrel Conflict. RS members who participate in the competition can expect RS Merit points for each match they play. Medals are also up for grabs in this competition. Playing one match of any type will automatically earn the participant an Operational Development Pin and further Combat medals will be awarded as appropriate depending on how many matches and victories a player earns.

The Subterrel Conflict webpage has been updated again and now contains further information about the competition. You can read about the rules for participation as well as how you should sign up for matches with the bot in #Outerrim. The Maps page has also been updated to explain victory conditions for the competition. The three factions are competing to own the planetary systems of the Subterrel Sector. Each faction starts with four systems. If the RS and Rebels win this weekend, we will gain a system from the losing faction and be on the road to victory!
I look forward to seeing you all this weekend and hope that we may celebrate an RS victory in the first battle of Outer Rim War 3: The Subterrel Conflict.
