Greetings everyone,

before starting with the NL I would like to mention right away a new AWOL check procedure we will have in use starting with RID ITOD mission 104.
If a RID member won't report on any of 3 missions in a row, s/he is going to be removed from the RID roster, unless s/he is long-term LOA. In other words, if you haven't reported on RID ITOD mission 102, 103 nor will you report on mission 104, you are going to be removed from the roster.
15 - 25 minutes of your time in 3 months is quite a mild requirement to stay on the roster, isn't it? :) Thanks for your understanding and now lets get to the NL:

1) RID ITOD
a) RID 103 mission
b) RID 104 mission
c) Offical RID ITOD narrative writer

2) Past Multiplayer events
a) Galaxyweek IV
b) ORW3

3) Current and upcoming Multiplayer events
a) Battle Royale April
b) 1v1 EaW Campaign Tournament
c) Invasionweek IV

4) Other News
a) Coruscant Star of Valor for RID Top player
b) New Ninjin CO
c) Usagi CO on LOA

1) RID ITOD

a) RID 103 mission
We had a total of 17 reporting members in the 103 mission.
1st place has been taken by COM Michael Raven. In second place finished MAJ Gavin Starseeker and in third place finished MGN Anton "Ups" Nels.

Task Force Shochu had the most reporting members, and finished in first place with the highest total score.

Congratulations to the award winners and thanks everyone for playing the mission.

b) RID 104 mission
The 104 is going to be released (hopefully very) soon. All I can say at this point is that it is going to be a space mission.

c) Offical RID ITOD narrative writer
The RID Second Officer GEN Qatar will provide us with narratives for the ITOD missions starting with mission 104. He will make use of the SSF roster I mentioned in my last RID NL and he will work in cooperation with the LO to make sure described events are in context with the RS timeline.

Feel free to use an ITOD narrative in context with your narrative for that mission. If your RS character shouldn't be 'present' in a certain mission (see SSF roster for reference), then you can always make a narrative from any person's viewpoint.
You don't have to try to make your mission narrative in context with the RS timeline though.

The SSF roster can be found here:

2) Past Multiplayer events

a) Galaxyweek IV
GW4 finished a while ago, and who is checking the forums already knows that we didn't manage to get rated as club. The participating player details are as follows:

Michael Raven - 16 wins, no losses
David "Heavy" Pasiechnyk - 1 win, 1 loss
Luren "DaLe" Ketan - 1 win/ 1 loss

b) ORW3
If you are interested in the details of each battles player details, please have a look here:

http://www.rebelsquadrons.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2230

In total 161 EaW matches have been played by 14 RS members. Over 100 of these matches have been played by two RID members I would like to mention here.

Commodore Michael Raven played during ORW3 59 EaW matches which he all won.

Captain Joshua Mumishi played 46 matches, of which he won 41, lost 3 and tied 2.

A remarkable effort of both. Thanks everyone for representing the RS in ORW3.

I will get to the RID awards for participation in the ORW3 after the release of 104.

3) Current and upcoming Multiplayer events

a) Battle Royale April
The Battle Royale is on and you can report matches for it until 30th April. If you are interested in a bit of Multiplayer action, have a look on the thread for the Battle Royale and find someone to play against, ideally on the IRC channel #rid .

The thread can be found here:

http://www.rebelsquadrons.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2221

b) 1v1 EaW Campaign Tournament
As all of you might know EaW has a campaign game mode. For those of you who would like to experience some EaW campaign fun, we will be having a 1v1 campaign tournament. This event will be moderated by CPT Joshua Mumishi, who will be posting a signup thread on the RID boards for those of you who would like to participate. The deadline for the draft phase will be in about 2 - 4 weeks from now, which will be specified by CPT Mumishi.

Feel free to signup for the tournament even if you don't have played a MP campaign game yet. CPT Mumishi has prepared an EaW Campaigning Guide for Dummies and you have a few weeks to play at least one or two campaign matches before the event starts.

c) Invasionweek IV
www.eclipticalrealms.com hosts another EaW land game Invasionweek, starting 27th April and ending 3rd May.

The homepage of the event can be found here:

4) Other News

a) Coruscant Star of Valor for RID Top player

Commodore Michael Raven has been awarded the Coruscant Star of Valor by the RSFC. Raven has surely more than proven that he rulez in the online world of EaW space battle. His current offical EaW match record of 243-0-2 clearly shows that defeating Raven in EaW would be like defeating both Darth Vader and Palpatine, when all you had would be a wooden stick.
Congratulations Raven! This award is certainly well deserved.

b) New Ninjin CO
CPT Joshua Mumishi has been appointed as new Task Force Ninjin CO. Congratulations Captain! I hope you will enjoy your first command position in the RS.

c) Usagi CO on LOA
CPT Joak Drysso will be LOA for about two weeks. Until his return I will be taking care of Task Force Usagi and the Cadets within.

Feel free to email me in case of any questions.
