Greetings, Members of the Redemption Fleet!
As most of you know by now, I am the new CO of the Redemption Fleet, General Harley Quinn. May I first start off by thanking Kaz for the work he has done in his time as RFCO and wish him well as that demon known as real life sucks up more and more of his time.
1. General Fleet News.
My first couple of weeks in command have been quite eventful. Zealot has officially started their first narrative thread and it has so far seen a fair bit of activity as members take the opportunity to introduce their characters.
Unfortunatley, as one division kicks into life, another one bites the dust. This month has also seen the demise of the Strategic and Tactical Command (STC). This was not an easy decision for me as my first love has always been the STC and I spent a lot of my command time in charge of that particular division.
The RF roster has also seen the addition of Vanguard Wing, the SWG division of the RS and Charybdis Wing continues to grow. And many fun hours have been spent by members (including myself) on the new Jedi Outcast server, blasting and hacking to our hearts content. Thank you again to Anton for sullpying the club with its own server.
2. Fleet Command News
The search for a new RFXO has not been an easy one. I recieved many exceptional applications, and I would like to take this moment to thank them all for thier interest. However, in the words of the immortal Christopher Lambert, there can be only one. During the selection process, one thought keep recurring in my mind, the RS is often guilty of re-cycling older members into command positions, a process that cannot continue forever. With this in mind, the new RFXO is Capt. Joshua Mumishi. Congratuations Joshua, and may the Force have mercy on your soul.
3. RID News
RID 104 is now out, and already competition between task forces is fierce. Can Shochu take another one, or can another rise to the top. We shall soon see.
4. CD News.
This month sees the start of the BF2 1v1 tournament, and having now seen the draw, your freindly CO probably won't make it past the first round. Ah well, good luck to everyone else, I look foward to seeing some tight battles. The CD tour also continues, this month sees our brave forces ejecting the last of the imperial invaders holed up in a small rural village.
5. Promotions and Awards
Luren "DaLe" Ketan - Dale, you've been very active for awhile, and you show no sign of stopping your dedication to the RS anytime soon. Your leadership of both RID and CD has been appreciated, and the way that you stay on top of awarding RS merits for MP competitions is extremely helpful. In recognition of all your hard work and your dedication to the club, I am happy to promote you to the rank of full Colonel. Congratulations!
Abi Ocopaqui - Abi, for your work and dedication into getting Zealot out of Codys head and turned into a viable RS Division, I am happy to promote you to the rank of Commander. Congratulations.
6. Miscellaneous Stuff
Activity, activity, activity! This is the message for this month. The RF has many, many fun ways to get involved with many different MP and SP options. We are all here to have fun, and that can't happen unless we get involved.
If you have questions about anything going on in the RF, would like to be more involved, or have ideas no matter how wacky or bizzare, please feel free to email me (rsjester@xtra.co.nz) any time!
