RSCD Newsletter May edition
Greetings members of the RSCD. This is my first newsletter so please be gentle!

6) Summary
1) Major James Folen has been made the new CO of Avatar platoon. Congrats James, drinks are on you mate!
2) SWBF1 ITOD. Due date for this event is 10th june. Currently run by Major James Folen, there are only 2 reports in so far so theres plenty of time to get a mission in.
3) BF2 ITOD CD104. The event has ended results to be posted shortly. There have been 5 reports in, the commandos who posted scores are Calista, Dale, Jester, Reb and Spokes. Congrats guys.
4) MULTIPLAYER. For may there have been a lot of opportunities to get in on MP activity, heres whats been happening for may (also including upcoming events on ER.)
a) SWBF1 BATTLEWEEK 18. There was far more activity in this BW than BW17. Results are as follows:-

b) SWBF2 CONQUEST WEEK 11
This was a very strange CW. There was a bit of trouble between a couple of clans whilst this competition ran (which is hopefully sorted out for CW12, read the SWBF2 forums on ER if you want to find out). Now the RS as a club came 4th despite the low attendence of our commandos. Im a little dissappointed by our participation ( only 2 players played a total of 97 matches.)
c) SWBF2 CONQUEST WEEK 12

d) SWBF2 1V1 TOURNAMENT
So far we arent having a very good tournament. No matches have been played and Primlar has raised a very good point about the different time zones we all live in. I think as it stands the best way to contact your opponent would be via email unless you see them on xfire. This is something i need to discuss with Dale going forward but DONT GIVE UP!!!!!
e) RC DELTAWEEK

5) NEW MEMBER
I would like to welcome a new member to our ranks, CDT Mike50 (xfire username dansondeltaforty) I am looking forward to getting some matches along side him in competitions and i know he is too. He has been in the ER TS server, whilst i was playing in CW11 and is genuinely eager to get mp matches in. Good luck Mike and see you on the battlefield.
6) SUMMARY. So as you see quite a lot to do over may. The overall activity of RSCD commandos has been down this month on previous months with fewer members participating in the ITODS and MP events, but obviously with exams and holidays etc its to be expected. On a more positive note we did get a 4th place award in CW11. So guys we have CW12 and DW8 starting soon, the current BF1 ITOD still running, and also the BF2 knockout tourny is there to play. To the guys signed up for the event, if you are struggling to find your opposition on xfire or IRC try emailing them directly to see if you can arrange a suitable time/date to play your matches. It can be difficult to arrange with the different time zones, but we are an international organisation :-)
