Vanguard was incredibly busy this month. The Galactic Civil is in full swing and much needed to be done to prepare the troops, both ground forces and pilots.

SPACE
Joshua Arands, the CO of Resurrection Squadron, led his pilots in a resounding defeat of the Imperials as they met them head on in space. Accompanying them was Ryian Corian and his amazing crew, Daryus Zal’yn, and Dale Luren in his YT-1300. (PVP) Anishor also made a grand effort in his B-wing with several kill of his own in the conflagration. Chie’f flew his Scyk as a scout vessel. He's unique in that he's the only RzA pilot not assigned to an advanced X-wing, and with his own special designation of 'Phoenix'

One of our newest recruits is an amazing strategist. Uglyithorian planned out one of the assaults on the Imperials for the combined Rebel forces in the area and it very nearly succeeded. Due to superior numbers, the Imperials prevailed and most of the combined forces made it out of the conflict safely.

Many of the pilots honed their skills in space by patrolling nearby sectors of space, the occasional stray Imperial patrol or pirates were encountered but easily handled by members of the fleet.

In preparation for future missions, several pilots undertook special training in the use of Imperial starships.

The Vanguard fleet has experienced an influx of new pilots lately. The recruits are busy training,getting both their technical knowledge and piloting skills up to snuff, as all desire to be part of the reknowned ( ) Resurrection and Sabre squadrons.

GROUND
On the ground, the Vanguard fleet CO spent many long hours drilling the new troops in ground missions. He lead them fearless in efforts to free enslaved Wookiees on Kashyyyk and then explored the hot planet of Mustafar where the native animals are nasty. Grax also lead them on an assault of some of the old droid factories of the Old Republic. (PvE, grinding up levels for new characters/recruits)

During this time, Grax and many others in Vanguard have been incubating animal DNA. They are teasing the use of animals in combat. ((this doesn’t make Sarriah too happy, but she does create some companion pets and others that are useful as mounts.)) (Beast Mastery)

One team was dispatched by the Vanguard close ally and Director of the Rara Avis flight school to determine the cause of a crashed freighter on Rori, a moon of Naboo. The team is about to make their way to Kashyyyk to see what they can determine. Imperial officers and stormtroopers were swarming the crash site when the team arrived, but Gene Warrump, Sarriah James, Dale Luren, and Krey Darkfire were able to handle them, barely. (RP)

Several times, our Green Squad was called upon to help others bust up some of the bases places by Imperials on various planets in the sector (PVP, GCW)

New Horizons Designs spent a lot of time creating goods and offering services to folks. NHD is the monetary front for the Vanguard Fleet. NHD is a quite successful venture.

Several of the members of Vanguard spent a great deal of time ensuring the tradesmen and women had plenty of resources.
