Greetings pilots. I do apologize for not having this out Sunday as I had planned, but connection problems arose that were beyond my control. Between that and school projects, I’m just now getting an opportunity to send this out.

I. ITOD

As you know, VSG 108 is currently underway with about a week and a half left for reports. Word floating down the grapevine is that Ragnarok could find itself out of the Top Squadron running. Top Gun appears to be an open free-for-all with no clear winner. Also, don’t forget about the Renegade and Intrepid Cups to be awarded to the pilots with the highest score AND Mission Complete for each platform.

Finally, I would like to address the issue of activity. Now, before any of you roll your eyes and go “Here we go again”, let me elaborate. First off, 107 totals were 1 pilot short of the 106 totals. Still, that’s close to what we had before, so I’m not terribly concerned. Second, I know that this is a busy time of year. With school finals and holidays, it can be hard to find the time to fly. I ask that you at least try to do so. If you can’t, that’s fine. I’m sure we all understand that real life takes priority over RS stuff.

II. Multiplayer

Until tomorrow, the XWA WoW is still going on. Go fly while there’s still time! Also, I encourage everyone to participate in the Missions Wars that are now being set up, mainly by TRA if I’m not mistaken. This event actually uses the standard XvT missions in the multiplayer environment. From what I’ve been told, the RS would have the advantage due to the fact we’re trained to focus on mission goals, not just dogfighting.

III. Recognition

I would like to take this time to recognize one very deserving person who has recently shown that he has the pilot spirit.

Captain Naes Draw. First let me congratulate you on your recent promotion. I had been contacted about doing that, but that was during the episode with my connection. Thankfully, Richo took matters into his own hands. During Richo’s absence, you fulfilled the roll of Dagger XO in splendid fashion. You kept your squadmates motivated. You took charge. In short, you were, and still are, a leader. Again, congratulations.

V. Closing

Well, once again I close a newsletter to the best group of pilots in the world. Don’t forget about 108 and the MP comps. I’m sure that, as he finds out, Heavy will give us an update on upcoming events. Also, if I don’t get another NL out before the December holidays, then I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a happy holiday season. If you travel, come back in one piece. Until next time, fly fast, shoot straight, and kill some Imps.
