I. Opening

Greetings all I'm sorry I have not done one of these in a while but some RL stuff has kept me busy of late. Mainly the because of my work schedule and the recent death of my car for starters. However I have been trying to keep things moving forward as best I can even though my activity has been limited of late. Anyway I would like to take this time to fill you all in on some of the things we are working on in the RO. I also included the New Members section in this post to address the next Item on the docket.

II. My up coming LOA

Effective as of next Sunday Oct. 5th I'm going LOA and I'll be gone until the 11th. The reason for this is my company is sending me as well as others from the warehouses around my area to Buffalo, NY. This is to help them get settled in there new building they are currently in the process of moving in to. We will be going up there for the week to put stuff away for them as they move it from the old building.

During this time I do not know if I will have any access to the internet. So I hereby turn to my staffs of these departments to step up in my absents. I'm confident they will keep thing running and moving forward. CPT Etain Valen Gaas will act in my place in the RO and LCL Swifty Chapple with do the same for the New Members section in the Academy.            

III. Recognitions

Recently I was Promoted by our FC Kaz and I'd like to thank him for this honor. However I can not take the credit solely for myself and I would not have things moving along so well if not for my fellow RO's. Even though they you don't hear much about them they all work very hard behind the scenes to help me develop new ways to get people interested in the RS.

We would not be working as much as we are if not for all of there input, Ideas, and research they put in. I have Listed all of these things on the RSRO wiki page which can be found off the TO's wiki. Here are some examples of the Idea's and work they are doing to help the RS grow:

MAJ Dismal Dupar: Has been actively bringing in new members and has been listed by several as having been referred by.

CMDR Hyde: Has been working on the RS World Project since he was appointed translating all the key elements of the RS into Spanish.

BGN Daryus Zalyn`Cya: Has come up with a blogging project that will let us share more of what we have to offer in each Division and events we have going on.

CPT Michael Dreadman: Has been working with me on new posters/banners and has been making great progress thus far.

CPT Etain Valen Gaas & 2LT Davin Olar: And last but not least my two idea bouncer cushions/gofers. If I needed input, logging of info, or needed to find something for a project they have done just that.

IV. RSRO Projects

I'd like to take this time to list some of what we are close to completing or have up and running soon. Also I'd also like to inform you all that we have two point of contact E-Mail Addresses which are also listed on the RO wiki. Also the the IRC channel #RSRO is there as a point of contact option as well.

It is also for those that want to drop in and share there Ideas and even if I'm listed as away I log everything and review them daily. So if you have an idea or suggestion please leave a message and I will get back to you. Anyway I have two Projects on the table that are close to meeting the criteria I mentioned above:

Posters/Banners: With the Point of Contact info now in place we are moving forward to finding fonts and more pics to use. My hope is to have some prototypes for every one to look at to get there feedback.

Blogging project: This is just about ready to take off as soon as we work out the final details of where and what areas to set each one up where they will be most effective.


V. RSRO Projects: Item requests

As always this is the part where I ask you my fellow RSer's for your assistants. This serves two purposes one of which is to get your input to help a project move forward. Second is you have a part in helping the RS grow with said input. I like to get as many of you involved even if only in part because every little bit helps. Anyway on to what is needed for the following Projects:

RS World Project: CMDR Hyde has pretty much got the Spanish translations covered but there is more to be done. I'd like to ask more of you step up and help translate some of the other languages going forward. If you are interested and can help in this area please contact CMDR Hyde he will explain how things work for this project. After all he has been working on this for quite some time now.

Posters/Banners:For this project I'd like to ask you all if you have any artwork or pics that we can make Posters/Banners. These can be for the RS as a whole or represent a specific Division if you so choose. I also welcome any catchy slogans that you think might draw interest to the same degree. If you have any of these Items to offer send them to me and CPT Michael Dreadman as well.      

Blogging project:BGN Daryus Zalyn`Cya has requested me to ask the Division CO's for a paragraph about each Division. Well more of a synopsis really what you feel best represents what your Divisions has to offer. By doing is this way each of you has a say in how your Division is best represented. It also gives you a way to get the word out on up coming events you might have. I feel this is the best way to generate interest for all going forward plus every thing will be up to date as well. I ask you to send your submissions to both me and Daryus.

VI. Closing
