VSG Newsletter
1/5/09
Ok, this one is going to be short and to the point. First, some medals for 2.02.
Top Gun: COM David “Heavy” Pasiechnyk with 38 points followed by 2LT Syrius Euphrenia with 28 and a tie between RA Himm El-Syna and BGN Kirghy Lommax with 17. Congrats, Heavy!
Renegade Cup: COM David “Heavy” Pasiechnyk again with a MC and a score of 51836. Congrats again!
Intrepid Cup: LCL Richo had the highest MC score for 202A and is awarded the Intrepid Cup. Congrats, Richo!
Top Squadron: Dagger again with 184 points followed by Dragon with 126 and Ragnarok with 110! Congrats again, Daggers!
Vigilance Dagger: Awarded to Dagger Squadron again for 100% of ACTIVE pilot participation for 202. Congrats, Daggers!
Mission Report Medal: No narrative submissions.
Now, we’re all hoping that 203 will be out soon, but I haven’t heard much at this point, so I don’t know when it’s going to be out. I’ll come up with something to keep us all busy in the meantime.
Multiplayer had potential this time around to give Dragon a Top Squadron win, but Dagger’s performance in both missions killed their chances. Thanks go out to Heavy, Spokes, Syrius, and Kirgs for participating in MP for this mission.
I have no special recognition at this time.
Currently, we’re all waiting to see what 203 brings. I hope that it will be fun and enjoyable for both platforms. Also, today was the final deadline for applicants for Fleet Commander. Josh already has a nice selection of FC candidates for HC to choose from.
Speaking of the FC election, I feel that I would be remiss in my duties if I did not notify all of you that I am running for FC. Should I win, this will be my last Newsletter to you as your CO as I will step down as VSG CO to focus on the FC position. At that point, I will have one final farewell letter to the Division. However, if I am not elected, I will continue to serve as your CO.
Until next time, I hope all of you had a good holiday season. I expect 2009 to be a big year, not just for the VSG, but for the RS as a whole. It makes me proud to say that the VSG will be a part of it. Missions will be out…well, sometime. I’ll have something to do in the meantime.
