From the desk of the RSFC...
Well...Things have been pretty interesting in High Command. I chose a real Hot Topic for the first item on my list, and we've been kicking that around for a while. It hasn't taken longer than I expected, because it's a pretty big change. Anyway, it should be at the point now where we've got it almost complete.
Among other things we've got going, I've had a number of responses to the Graphics email I sent out, and we've got the making's of a Graphics Department now. Woot! The stuff these guys can do is phenominal. I've put the Graphics department together so I can address a partial rework and expansion of the Medal System - and maybe I can get the durned thing done this time. There a bunch of medals I'm going to want to be awarding retroactively, so I'm going to need input from y'all.
We're gearing up for the release of "Star Wars: The Old Republic", and I've put Rahj Tharen in charge of that. He's got a Total Plan for integrating it into the RS, so I'm letting him Totally Run with it, since I'm basically a moron when it comes to the Player Association type of game.
I'm also talking with the Recruiting Office to see what we've got going on there. The US Economic Situation is taking it's toll in places you'd never expect, so the RO hasn't been entirely up to the pace it wants to be. May all of us without jobs (including me) find them quickly!
There's a pretty big Do List that I've got, and have sent to HC, and it addresses everything from participation to the Bylaws and back again. We'll be hitting everything on the list sooner or later.
In a slightly tighter off the path focus, in the PSG we've got missions scheduled out for about a years and a half in the X-Wing game, and probably over two years for the TIE Fighter game. We've got two people who've come out of retirement to join us so far. If you haven't flown the oldest games in a long time, and/or want to get in on some great fiction, come join us. ( /end

Coming out of retirement is hard when everything has changed... just so's you know. Someone might want to include a "Help for Dummy's" Link or something like that to help out people who havent even LOOKED at the site in at least 6 or 7 years... just a thought. I was talking with Kaz about it, and he said y'all set it up way too early, and when I asked if it was vacant, he said more like...dead. That being Kaz's summation, I set up my own team, the next assumption being that I'm allowed to do so. Markus, Sconn, Rahj, Blaster, Sarriah and I had a chat about SWTOR the other night. I think we worked out some stuff.
