Hey there pilots (and retiree's if you folks still read these newsposts). I recently got an email from the BattleStats admin group regarding a new client for use in finding multiplayer matches for XvT and XWA. I've just nicely had a look at it today, and it is a heck of a lot more stable than the Errant Venture to start with, and on top of that it even has the familiar feel (well, 6 or so years ago familiar, but you get the idea) with a look that is very similar to that of the Zone, from days long past. BattleStats now supports the new Voobly gaming service for X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter and X-Wing Alliance. The BSC hosted Week of War events can now be played on both Voobly and Errant Venture, starting with the XWA WoW this month.

Voobly is a commercial endeavour and the service is professionally designed. The system is very close to the original MSN Gaming Zone both functionally and visually. It is free to use for the substantial part, while paid subscriptions offer additional features.

Voobly is a very interesting new development for the XvT/XWA multiplayer community, and it offers an alternative to many players who have encountered issues with Errant Venture's implementation.
