Scoring Session 2 Results 8-3-11

Well, I’m sure by now you are all wondering about the results of Dry Run 2. In that case, no need to keep you waiting. Let’s start with the platform-specific medals.

Platform-Specific Awards

Renegade Cup:
The winner of the Renegade Cup completed the XvT mission with a Mission Complete score of 28,446, just over 3k over the nearest competition is LCM Jay Forerunner! Congratulations, Jay!

Intrepid Cup:
The Intrepid Cup was a closely fought affair with less than 1k points separating the top 2 pilots. In the end, LCM Jay Forerunner edged out XWA veteran BGN Richo to win the Intrepid Cup. Congratulations again, Jay!

Patriot Cup:
Well, the XW mission was certainly an interesting one. In the end, it came down to a contest of accuracy as we had 4 pilots kill all 36 targets and get a Mission Complete. The scoring range between 1st and 4th was only 351 points. The winner of the Patriot Cup, 1LT Hermus Dogan, managed to hold off the likes of ADMs Licah Fox and Tyrell “Spokes” Borran and LGN Damon Lightwind. Congratulations, Hermus, on a job well done!

Retribution Cup:
Looks like the wily veterans decided to show the young guns how this one’s done. Coming in ahead of ADM Licah Fox by 39 points, the winner of the Retribution Cup is LGN Damon Lightwind.      Congratulations, Damon!

Righteous Indignation Cup:
For the RID Cup, I just have to ask one question: How much can one guy get? This was another close race with less than 800 points between 1st and 2nd. In the end, LCM Jay Forerunner edged out LCL Brig Dolaree. Folks, he must be butter because he’s on a roll. :P Jay, congratulations on winning the Righteous Indignation Cup!

Allegiance Cup:
Alright, now for the best simmer for July. Looking at the scoring and accounting for the GM bonus, the winner of the Allegiance cup is CPT Koah with 63 points. Congratulations, Koah!

Aurora Cup:
For the Aurora Cup, it’s really a toss-up all around. In the end, though, a winner must be chosen. In this case, the deciding factor was the number of fictional submissions overall including narratives and forum posts. As a result, I hereby award the Aurora Cup to LCL Brig Dolaree who submitted a narrative for every mission in July. Congratulations, Brig!

Redemption Cup:
The Redemption Cup is award for platforms not covered by the other platform-specific awards. I found myself a bit surprised by the flurry of BF2 activity last month. In the midst of this, there was one member that stood out with 11 matches, accounting for one of the people that played every BF2 match in July. As a result, I award the Redemption Cup to CPT James StarGazer. Congratulations, James!

Ok, that finishes off the platform-specific medals. Now for the club medals.

Mission Report Medal:
The July Mission Report Medal is awarded to…..2LT Mia StormChaser for her RS 308a: Pirate Rampage narrative. Congratulations, Mia!

RS Top Gun (Single Player):
For earning a combined total of 7 SP points, I hereby award the RS Top Gun for Single Player activity to a returning member who’s been away for a while, LCL Brig Dolaree. Congratulations again, Brig! It’s good to have you back with us!

RS Top Gun (Multiplayer):
For earning a total of 73.8 in MP points, I hereby award the RS Top Gun for Multiplayer activity to VA Cyrel Vandroth. Congratulations, Cy!

RS Top Squadron:
Ok, here’s the big, overall prize: Top Squadron. This one really wasn’t even close as the combined forces of Simmers and Heavy steamrolled everyone else as Renegade Squadron just ran away with it, earning a combined total of 133.5 points. Congratulations, Renegades!

Ok, there are the July 2011 results. Everyone did a really great job with participation. Single Player participation was up 46% and Multiplayer participation increased 83% over Session I. Let’s keep this up! I hope that everyone has had a great time and are ready for the next missions, which should be out in just a matter of days.

Thank you, and good night.
