HC News
I am putting the HC news first because it is shorter, and it leads into the RS news so very nicely. High command has been busy discussing some changes to the bylaws. We have been discussing a new program for the commanders and future commanders of the RS. You will see the new bylaws come into effect shortly, we're still working on the academy to finalize the program. Which leads me to the RS news...

RS News
I would like to introduce to you, a new program for Commanders and future commanders. We are pleased to announce the (re)creation of the Officer Training School! This new program shares the name with a program we have eons ago, but is completely revised and revamped. Thanks to Eric Reagan, Brig Dolaree, and Adam Mieter for pretty much creating this new program from scratch. It's still going under a couple revisions from High Command input, but it will be available for everyone soon™. Once this programs gets up and running, I urge all commanding officers to go through it. You may already know most of what's there, but I assure you, it will be beneficial for you to take it. Plus, it will be a requirement in the future. I plan on taking it myself once it's ready, I'm that excited about it!

Let's see what else do we have. The previous session's activity of the month was a huge hit and it seemed people enjoyed it. I'm happy about that. It was something different and unique. I may have that happen again, but broaden the range of sites for you to look in. This month's activity has you taking 5 screenshots of any star wars game you play, or a 2 minute video of any star wars game. Fraps is the best way to go about doing this, and you can get it free from fraps.com, or if you're creative I'm sure the full version is available upon request. Shhh. I didn't say that. Please let myself, Sconn, or Hermus Dogan know you have those and we'll give you further instructions.

I won't bore you further with useless info, just that at the time of this writing you have 15 days left to get your reports in.

And now, the good stuff, promotions and medals.

Final Thoughts
I wanted to put this here, because the process is going to take some time and I didn't want to get hopes up too early yet, but, the fiction is coming back. Kirghy has just received some logistics info from Heavy that will help him get the basics of new RS wide story. He's currently putting together a team to help flesh out details and figure out what needs to be done. I would like to say that something will be coming out soon™ but that would be lying. What Kirghy is attempting to do is to resurrect the RS wide story line we had years ago. This is no easy feat, there are a lot of details to wade through and a lot of planning. Help is always appreciated. Both in the writing team, and in logistics where Kirghy is getting his information. If you're willing to help out in either area, please let us know. The more people we have working on this project, the faster it can come back to life.

I'm looking forward to bringing back the FC narratives that Dave started as well. A look behind the scenes during the major operations was a wonderful idea.

So I leave you now, with no inspiring words sadly, just a hope that with everyone's help the RS will continue to have a bright future.

Thank you one and all!
