Return to Subterrel
XvT 403: Abandoned Outpost - due September 16, 2012
Created by ADM David "Heavy" Pasiechnyk and LCM Hermus Dogan.
= Mission Overview =
Welcome to Subterrel. The shakedown cruise for M/SC Assessor in the Cadrel Expanse was a smashing success. A militant base was wiped out while our own forces left the target area with only light damage. Great flying, pilots.
On to our present circumstances. During our stop at the small, unmanned outpost the Rebel Squadrons has maintained in this sector we found an interesting bit of information from its log of routine scans: the location of an abandoned Imperial outpost. We're going to board that station to see if they left behind any useful data in their computer systems.
= Mission Details =
This is the third entry in Heavy's Return to Subterrel tour. As with the rest of the tour, this mission is multiplayer-capable. You can either band together with other RS pilots to complete it or fly it solo - your choice.
Due to the multiplayer support in this mission, pilots can pick which of the available craft they wish to fly: A-Wing, B-Wing, or X-Wing. The A- and X-Wings have a standard load of concussion missiles while the B-Wings sport a double load of proton torpedoes. All craft have chaff and at least one other warhead type available.
Full mission details can be found in the in-game briefing.

XWA Sim: Aid Civilians - due September 16, 2012
Built by LCM Jay Forerunner, Story by ADM David "Heavy" Pasiechnyk
= Mission Overview =
We've received a distress signal on an unencrypted channel, apparently from a group of civilians. Details are sketchy, but we must investigate in the event that the signal is genuine.
= Mission Details =
This month's mission was brainstormed by Heavy and built by Jay Forerunner quite some time ago, but never released. Now, it finally sees the light of day, offering our XWA pilots another new mission.
The A-Wing is your ride this time around. You've got a default load of heavy rockets and chaff, but a few other options are available.
Full mission details can be found in the in-game briefing.

=== The Future ===
In the next session we'll be continuing the new tradition of fresh missions with XvT's Return to Subterrel tour and another unlinked XWA mission.
Other ideas are in the works beyond the ITOD missions, but it's still too early to announce them yet. Stay tuned!
=== Call for Help ===
The help received thus far from Ace Antilles and Jay Forerunner in building new missions has been greatly appreciated, but more builders are always valued. Anyone out there willing to help us build missions for either platform should shoot me an e-mail about your interest and include any missions you may have already created. Even if you lack mission building experience but are willing to learn, don't hesitate to respond; it's the interest that counts.
=== Closing ===
That's all for this month's newsletter. Due date for mission reports is September 16th. Fly fast and shoot straight!
