Welcome to Session XVI. This month we've got another new XWA mission, this time from BGN Adam Mieter: Routine Patrol. Give it a fly and let us know what you think! For the XvT fans we've got the next retro mission in the current series, Attack on Exort Base. Be sure to get those reports in ASAP - we've gotta start breaking the usual tradition of flying at the last minute!
Still looking for someone to fill the Platform XO position. Details are in the Call for Help section.

XvT 316: Attack on Exort Base (RgF 204) - due June 30th

= Mission Overview =
Following your last patrol, and the ships found to be carrying illegal weapons as cargo, we managed to gain some information by interrogating the crew. It seems they were hired by a large smuggling and pirating ring. Intel are now looking into this organization. We obtained the loction of one of their hidden bases, from which the ships we caught picked up their cargo.
We are now going to capture this base. It will hopefully have some useful information within either its crew or its computers.
= Mission Details =
This is a normal mission; fly with the usual rules. Multiplayer not available.
You get an X-Wing with a half-load of Proton Torpedoes. No countermeasures or beam systems.

=== X-Wing Alliance ===
XWA: Routine Patrol - due June 30th

= Mission Overview =
This will be a routine patrol mission. We don't expect any hostile activities in the sector, but stay alert.
No unnecessary chit-chat on the comms, and don't leave your patrol area, no matter what. We can't be lured into a trap and risk losing the Nest.
After the 15 minute mark, return to the Redemption and write your report. But you know the drill by now.
Dismissed!
= Mission Details =
You fly an X-Wing, but Adam gives you plenty of choices for customization in this one. You get a standard load of Advanced Missiles, Heavy Rockets, Proton Torpedoes, or Advanced Torpedoes. Chaff or Flares are available for countermeasures, and any beam system but Tractor can be chosen.

In Session XVII we'll have a new XvT mission from none other than ADM Licah Fox while XWA returns to the retro runs. If anyone has a new XWA mission burning a hole in their hard drive they'd like to share with the RS, let me know!
=== Call for Help ===
I'm in need of someone to take over the Assistant Platform Coordinator slot for XvT and XWA.
Duties include the approval of mission reports for the two platforms, building and/or testing new missions, helping assemble the regular platform newsletters, updating the platform pages on the wiki (this is nearly done), and filling in for me if I'm ever on leave or otherwise unavailable. Don't worry, it's much simpler than it may sound.
