Sad News About One of Our Own
Dear friends,
Tonight, I write to share sad news of a tragedy that has befallen one of our own.
Many of the veteran members of the club know Fleet Admiral Rensal Darklighter, better known as "Bigfoot" or "Biggie". Biggie is retired now, but was a long-time member of the club leadership, serving on High Command for many years. He served as Minister of Justice, Redemption Fleet CO, and Retribution Fleet CO, among many other roles.
Sadly, I was informed tonight that Biggie's 14-year old son passed away last night after a brief hospitalization. Words cannot express my profound sorrow for my friend and colleague. On behalf of the whole club, I would like to offer our deepest sympathies to Biggie and his whole family as they go through this trying time.
Prior to the passing of Biggie's son, a GoFundMe was established to help the family cover some of their costs. If any members of the club wish to make a donation, you can do so at the link below.

If any of you wish to share your personal condolences with Biggie, you can email him at Bigfoot@rebelsquadrons.org. Anyone who may be interested in calling on the family at calling hours can contact me personally for information about the arrangements.
Tonight, I know that all of us will come together to support one of our own, and that makes me proud to be a member of the Rebel Squadrons. I ask that each of you do whatever you can to ease the anguish that I know Biggie and his family are suffering. Keep them in your thoughts as they weather this storm, and support Biggie and each other through this hard time.
As always, please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you all for everything you do.
