COL Teu Veld stepping down, new RSXO needed!
Good morning RS,
COL Veld has requested to step aside from her positions at RS Command due to personal circumstances. Due to the several different roles she was performing, we have several vacancies open. If you are interested in any of these positions, please send me an e-mail at cyrel@rebelsquadrons.org .
Note, no prior experience is necessary. I'm more than happy to train you on how we have done things so far... and then have you turn around and tell me how to do it better!
RSXO - Takes over if I LoA, ideally writes the SotRS in collaboration with the Operations Officer, responsible for managing our Squadron COs (collecting promotion and medal recommendations, performing evaluations, appointing and/or removal of squadron COs), serves as a link in chain of command for general member issues that have gone beyond their Squadron CO.
Academy Commanding Officer - Responsible for incoming cadets / fading members, reviews and maintains cadet curriculum, encourages activity from academy students, promotes integration of academy students into the RS, currently responsible for initial greeting/assignment of new cadets into the academy.
Recruiting officer - seeks new avenues to promote RS Awareness and encourages new members to join, (if separate from ACO:) serves as a third party mediator for academy matters, works with Task Force Leaders to integrate their in-game members/presence with the RS.
While I have everyone's attention: COL Veld!
On multiple occasions you have volunteered to attempt some of the most demanding positions available in the RS: running for Fleet Commander, running the academy, dealing with High Command, and dealing with our Squadron COs as Executive Officer. You have more than earned the first of the Club Ranks, and I hereby promote you to Brigadier General. Thank you for your service.
