I. Foreword

Greetings RS,

Apologies that this SotRS is late coming out but changes were made during this past session that affected the release of this new session.

Score System Change

After a lengthy discussion by High Command, it has been decided that the current ITOD/Leaderboard scoring system was no longer the best fit for the club. Currently the scoreboard has been heavily influenced by the amount of time a person plays the game. This no longer works for the club as many people no longer have time to throw several hours a day into gaming.

New System:

The new system lumps games into one of three categories, Legacy, Modern or Immersive. The Platform Coordinator will work with the Task Force leaders to create 4 objectives RS Defeat, Stalemate, Minor Victory, Major Victory. These each have a fictional tie in with the RS fiction based on if the pilot's meet the given criteria for that game. Example:

Logistic Officer

After serving for multiple years, Fleet Admiral Michael Raven has decided to step down from Logistic Officer. We thank him for his service and dedication to the RS, he will be missed.

II. Squadron and Academy Updates

Academy News: This session saw no changes with the Academy. We had no graduations and no new recruits. Cadet Orlen was marked AWOL.

Squadron News: Nothing major happened this past session. Activity levels for each squadron hovered about 2/3rds of active members.

Resurrection Squadron: Nothing new to report.

Diamond Squadron: Nothing new to report.

Red Dagger Squadron: Nothing new to report.

While originally scheduled to be in full effect for this session, the AWOL rules for this session for those already in a Squadron have been suspended as a result of the implementation of the new participation system mentioned earlier in the SotRS.

IV. Mission Briefing - Phoenix Rising - Push Back Against Titan

Aurora Sector Defense Fleet, Office of the Commanding Officer, Imperial II-class Star Destroyer Prometheus II in orbit above Aurora, 3 hours after the Third Battle of Aurora

Vice Admiral Kirghy Lommax, Republic Shield Executive Officer, studied the datapad in his hands. The damage report for the Aurora fleet was remarkably shorter than he’d expected. That didn’t mean it had been easy to liberate Aurora. While no ships had been lost, several had sustained heavy damage. The Nesanti lost her port shields and then was rammed by a TIE/ln fighter, breaching the hull and destroying the port firing control circuits. Javelin went quiet momentarily when her bridge took a direct hit from an enemy ISD II. Fortunately, she had been designed with an auxiliary bridge and was back in the fight as the next officers in command replaced those lost on the main bridge. The Condor, the vessel that had been his flag until the Prometheus II was returned from its assignment at Lithra, had lost an engine to a massed TIE bomber attack. While these and other ships had taken damage, they would be repaired in short order. The main loss was in the casualties caused as a result. Seventy-five dead and 217 wounded wasn’t really that much, but it was going to bother Kirghy into thinking he could’ve done better. It always had that effect on him. And then he would realize that second guessing himself was useless and do his best to put it behind him.

At least the Titan presence on and around Aurora had been expunged. Orbital static defenses had been destroyed or disabled. The Titan vessels that could retreated when it became painfully obvious that the world could not be held, and RS ground forces were mopping up Titan troops on the surface. It wouldn’t be long before the transport ships carrying the civilian government would be able to return those officials to the capital.

All in all, it was a good day. And the hits kept coming.

The communications console chimed for his attention. With a bit of anticipation, Kirghy keyed it on. “Lommax here.”

“Sir,” began the comm officer “we’ve just received a report from the Redemption.”

“Understood. Patch it through to my office.”

Once the officer acknowledged the order, Kirghy turned his attention to the console on the desk and accessed the report from Lithra. After a few minutes of reading the report and then reading it a second time, he keyed the comm unit. “Lommax to Bridge. Open an all hands channel to the fleet. Everyone needs to hear this.”

==============================================

The message went out to the Aurora fleet accompanied by a renewed sense of hope.

”All hands, this is Vice Admiral Lommax. We have just received a report from the fleet at Lithra. They, along with our valued allies, have been victorious in the liberation of Lithra. Titan forces are falling back to their own territory, and we are working to solidify control on the ground, but for all practical purposes, the people of Lithra are free.”

“Titan has pushed us far enough. Now, it’s time for us to push back.”

Activities:

FC Objective:

FC Overall Objective: Men, we need to coordinate activities between the different branches of the RS and coordinate our strikes against the enemy, you are being tasked with working with your commanders to determine what other areas of the RS you can assist.

RS Defeat: With very little activity across the RS, the Titan fleet is able to capture one of the two Subterrel Communications Array stations, and will be able to push forward toward the Greeop sector next session.

Stalemate: Working together, the RS is able to hold off the Titan fleet in the Subterrel sector, though one of the two Communication Array stations has been damaged and will affect objectives for next session.
Objective: At least 5 RSers participate in at least 3 different activities.

Minor RS Victory: The RS is able to beat back the Titan attack in Subterrel, with no damage to the RS' infrastructure.
Objective: At least 5 RSers participate in at least 4 different activities.

Major RS Victory: Not only is the RS able to beat back the Titan attack, but several Titan support ships were cut off and destroyed. This will open up a mission next session to destroy an Imperial II-class Star Destroyer, congratulations!
Objective: At least 5 RSers participate in at least 5 different activities.

Writing, Non-Zealot:

Non-Zealot Overall Objective - With the invasion of Lithra over, we now need to push back and hunt down some of the forces that are trying to escape.

RS Defeat: Without hunting down the remnants of the Lithra defenders, they are able to regroup and counter-attack. The largest shipyard over Lithra is destroyed by the counter-attack, severely impacting our reinforced ship-building capabilities.

Stalemate: Not enough Titan Forces were destroyed in the counter-attacks, and one of the shipyards has been damaged. It will operate at reduced capacity for several sessions while it is repaired.
Objective: AT LEAST four (4) unique people post in either the Hunt for Remnant Lithra Forces (Cleanup) on Lithra OR the Lithra Victory Celebration Thread

Minor Victory: The Titan Forces around Lithra have been obliterated, and we no longer have to worry about reprisal attacks.
Objective: AT LEAST four (4) unique people participate in either the Hunt for Remnant Lithra Forces (Cleanup) on Lithra OR the Lithra Victory Celebration Thread with AT LEAST 2 posts above 500-1000 words

Major Victory: Not only did we hunt down the Titan forces around Lithra, but we caught several major convoys trying to resupply and repair their vessels. Titan's Supply Status in the Aurora sector will be downgraded by one full grade.
Objective: AT LEAST three (3) participants must post on BOTH the Hunt for Remnant Lithra Forces (Cleanup) on Lithra AND the Lithra Victory Celebration Thread with AT LEAST 2 posts about 500-1000 words AND at least three (3) joint threads between two or more participants

Writing, Zealot:

Zealot Overall Objective Though the invasion of Lithra has gone very well, but there are still some subversive elements in the Resistance that RS Black Ops has deemed... undesirable. Removal of these individuals will make the transition of government much easier.

RS Defeat: RS Special Operations have failed completely and did not eliminate their targets. The Resistance will gain several seats in the new government and may be more difficult to deal with in the future.

Stalemate: Several targets were eliminated, and the status quo will be maintained in government. This is good for the RS, as we currently have a slight advantage.
Objective: AT LEAST Six (6) unique people participate in the Zealot thread Lithra storyline.

Minor RS Victory: Most targets were eliminated, and the RS will gain several seats in the new government.
Objective: AT LEAST Six (6) unique people participate in the Zealot thread Lithra storyline with AT LEAST five (5) of the total posts submitted above 500-1000 words

Major RS Victory: All subversive targets have been eliminated, not only will the RS gain several seats in the new government but those who remain are sympathetic to the RS cause and will support the RS more.
Objective: AT LEAST Six (6) unique people participate in the Zealot thread Lithra storyline with AT LEAST five (5) of the posts submitted above 500-1000 words. In addition, Two (2) new people AND partake in the storyline AND at least two (2) joint threads between two or more participants.

Simming:

Simming Overall Objective: With the invasion of Lithra over, the ABG and their allies are preparing to begin counter offensives to actually push Titan out of Aurora.

RS Defeat The ABG, unfortunately, took far too much damage during the invasion and Titan forces have not only completely confounded the counter-offensive but have resumed offensive operations. All ABG Side Projects, production, and businesses are disabled for one week.

Stalemate: - The ABG has begun counter-offensive activities, but were unable to really slow down the Titan forces. All ABG Side Projects and Businesses have their production reduced by 20% for one week.
Objective AT LEAST (6) different participants join in a sim during the ITOD session.

Minor RS Victory The ABG has successfully countered the Titan forces and are actually on the offensive, pushing them out of Aurora. The Titan occupation of Aurora is reduced by 1 level.
Objective: AT LEAST (6) different participants partake in a sim AND complete the primary objectives of the Counteroffensive Against Titan campaign.

Major RS Victory: Not only has the ABG countered the Titan forces, but they've captured several critical supply depots hastily abandoned by Titan. The Titan occupation of Aurora is reduced by 2 levels, and all ABG Side Projects and Businesses have their production increased by 25% for one week.
Objective: AT LEAST (6) different participants partake in a sim, complete the primary objective of the Counteroffensive Against Titan campaign, AND AT LEAST three people EITHER run one (1) sim OR earn their aGM patch.

Modern Co-Op:

Modern Co-Op Overall Objective: Men, you are tasked with dealing with Titan starfighter attacks across our space, preventing their small-unit tactics from causing damage to our infrastructure while they rally from their defeat at Aurora.

RS Defeat: The Titan starfighters deal tremendous damage to RS infrastructure and cause terrible problems behind our lines. All RS infrastructure is reduced by 1 level.

Stalemate: The Titan starfighter attacks are defeated, with minor damage to RS infrastructure. RS Infrastructure in two sectors are reduced by 1 level for 1 session.
Objective: 6 people play a game with another RSer.

Minor RS Victory The Titan starfighter attacks are completely defeated, and no damage is recorded on RS infrastructure assets.
Objective: 6 people report on a dungeon/flashpoint with another player.

Major RS Victory: The Titan starfighter attacks are completely defeated, with the loss of several squadrons of high end starfighters. Next session, enemy reinforcements of heavy starfighters in the Legacy Missions will be removed! Well done!
Objective: In Ark, the RS team must capture and tame a pack of dilos (10) dilos.

Modern Competitive:

Modern Competitive Overall Objective: We are attempting to destroy a Titan Star Galleon which is carrying a massive amount of warheads and munitions that the Titan fleet has taken from our worlds. Coordinate together to destroy the vessel and prevent these warheads from getting into Titan hands!

RS Defeat: The RS fails to destroy the Galleon, and the warheads make it to the Titan fleet. All enemy vessels in the next session will be equipped with 'High Yield' or 'Advanced' versions of the normal warheads they would be equipped with.

Stalemate The RS destroys the Galleon, but it is able to jettison some of its cargo pods which make it to the enemy fleet. Several Titan units will be equipped with 'High Yield' or 'Advanced' versions of the normal warheads they would be equipped with. Three objectives next session will be affected by this.
Objective: 6 People play at least 1 competitive game with another RSer.

Minor RS Victory The RS destroys the Galleon and prevents the enemy from getting the warheads. No ill effects will be inflicted upon our objectives next session.
Objective: A full team (at least 5 members) win a competitive match

Major RS Victory: The RS forces actually manage to make the Galleon surrender, and capture the cargo back for themselves. Pilots will be equipped with advanced missiles for next session. Congratulations on your unexpected capture of this major asset.
Objective: In LoL, play a star wars themed team play a competitive map.

Star Wars: Force Arena:

Star Wars: Force Arena Overall Objective: Commandos, you are tasked with defending various critical humanitarian and supply missions on the surface of Lithra from counterattacks by a few remaining Titan commandos who have managed to escape capture or death.

RS Defeat: Titan forces manage to destroy several supply depots and confound the humanitarian missions that are trying to help the people. This negatively affects the opinion of the populace, and several seats will leave the RS and go to the Resistance as they claim they can better help the people.

Stalemate: Titan forces are confounded, and are prevented from completing any of their mission objectives, however they manage to escape. Next session they will reattempt their mission, and it will be more difficult to stop them.
Objective: 75% of the session's Guild Missions ending with AT LEAST "Stage 2" reached AND five (5) unique participants averaged throughout that session's total Guild Missions

Minor RS Victory: Titan forces are stopped, and several Commandos are killed. Next session, the remaining Titan personnel can be hunted down and eliminated with an offensive mission.
Objective: Previous goal plus 50% of the session's Guild Missions ending with AT LEAST "Stage 3" reached AND seven (7) unique participants averaged throughout that session's total Guild Missions

Major RS Victory: The Titan forces are stopped and eliminated entirely! No further enemy action will take place on the Lithran surface.
Objective: Previous goal plus 25% of the session's Guild Missions ending with AT LEAST "Stage 4" reached, eight (8) unique participants averaged throughout that session's total Guild Missions, and at least one single Guild Mission session that had ten (10) unique participants.

X-Wing Alliance:

XWA Overall Objective: Our squadrons are being tasked with hunting down and destroying isolated Titan capital ships, their locations having been provided to us by Intel.

RS Defeat: Several starfighters were lost without any major engagement. Resupply will take some time and for the next session, friendly flights will be reduced in size.

Stalemate: RS Intel wasn't able to pin down the Titan capital ships with the accuracy they wanted to; and our pilots were unable to destroy any. The status quo is maintained and we'll have to try again next session.
Objective: At least Five Unique Reports with Completion of the mission.

Minor RS Victory: Several Titan capital ships have been destroyed with only a few losses to the RS starfighter corps. Titan raids in Aurora and Subterrel will be less effective.
Objective: At least Four Unique Reports with the completion of the mission and flying with at least ONE other RSer during the mission.

Major RS Victory: A major Titan capital ship was hunted down and destroyed, removing one of the secondary command ships from Titan's fleet permanently!
Objective: At least Three Unique Reports with the completion of the mission, flying with at least ONE other RSer during the mission, and destruction of an enemy Capital ship, as well as a small write up of the mission.

X-Wing vs Tie Fighter

XvT Overall Objective: Pilots, we need to patrol RS space and ensure that flights of Titan strike craft and transports do not negatively impact our back supply lines.

RS Defeat: - Several of our ground based supply depots were raided, and they've struck back at our home sector. All Greeop sector infrastructure levels are reduced by 1, and require extensive repairs.

Stalemate: We've managed to drive off most of the Titan fighters and transports, but some succeeded in their missions. Greeop's munitions and civilian infrastructure are reduced by 1.
Objective: Two reports of Flying of a Multiplayer mission or skirmish with another RSer.

Minor RS Victory: Pretty much all of the enemy strike forces were destroyed, and no negative impacts have been recorded on RS infrastructure.
Objective: Two reports of a 2 vs 2 multiplayer engagement with other RSers.

Major RS Victory: All of the enemy strike forces have been destroyed, and this platform will be able to commence offensive operations next session!
Objectives: Two reports of a 3 vs 3 multiplayer engagement with other Rsers.

Empire at War

EaW Overall Objective: Commanders, we need to ensure that the entirety of the RS is coordinating with each other, and your positions as military leaders make you uniquely suited to carry out this important mission.

RS Defeat: Unfortunately, our commanders have done more harm than good, and various logistical problems have negatively affected other areas. A random platform has its 'objective completion' reduced by two levels.

Stalemate: A bit of miscommunication between the RS' divisions cause several Titan ships to escape certain death. A random platform has its 'objective completion' reduced by one level.
Objective: Four Unique reports of victory and completion on the "Easy" Setting.

Minor RS Victory: Solid communication and organization between various divisions has severely helped the RS in hunting down and destroying Titan assets. A random platform has its 'objective completion' increased by one level.
Objective: Three unique reports of victory and completion on the "Medium" Setting.

Major RS Victory: Well done across the board! Intelligence, fighters, and capital ships were all able to work together and Titan has sustained heavy damage across all of RS space. A random platform has its 'objective completion' increased by two levels.
Objective: Two unique reports of victory and completion on the "Hard' Setting.

Conclusion

As this State of the RS comes to a close, we want to take this opportunity to remind you that our main objective is to allow you the opportunity to feel like you are a part of the Star Wars universe. What we have neglected to do in the past is let you know that your actions throughout the different activities each session determines how well we perform against the Titan Fleet. We have neglected to promote our story in addition to the activities. We’ve focused on you doing things and not the reasons why you do these things. Those reasons are the progression of our story, to hang out with friends, to make new friends, and to have a fun time doing it. As the command staff, sometimes we get caught up in numbers and statistics and forget the main reasons we’re all here.

That’s why High Command decided to change our participation model. Instead of encouraging people to participate, our old model was discouraging people. Just as we are fictionally pushing back and going on offense against the Titan Fleet, we’re also pushing back against discouragement and apathy in real world part of the RS. We hope you all will put your skills to good use by seeing how you can help us fight towards victory.

Thank you, and may the Force be with you,

The Command Team
