Objective: Hammerfall: Shattering Strike
Overseeing Officer: FA Cyrel Vandroth
Maximum Possible Points: 10
Objective Instructions
The Titan and her fleet have arrived for what they intend to be the final strike against the New Republic's vanguard protectors, the RS. Imperial Forces have launched an armada into the Greeop system, capital of the Rebel Squadrons and lynchpin of the Greeop Sector, and are assaulting Tarsonis, the headquarters and home of the RS. Through bravery and sacrifice, RS strike teams (including the ABG's heroes) have boarded the Super Star Destroyer Titan in an attempt to sabotage critical components of the vessel to enable its destruction.
The fate of the RS hangs on the outcome of this mission and the rest of the RS' efforts during this fight. Both Republic and Imperial forces are suffering heavy losses during the battle, thanks to the valor and stubborn grit exhibited by RS forces since the fighting began. However, should the Titan manage to survive the battle, and manage to recover, with the reduced shipbuilding capabilities of the New Republic following the Galactic Concordance, an active Super Star Destroyer will remain an insurmountable obstacle for the remainder of the war. If the RS is to survive, the Titan must fall.

Cold. Confined. Desolate. This description befit the quarters of Nox Gammon on board the Jormungandr, but it also juxtaposed his splintered mind. As handfuls of water splashed over his weary face, he stared up at his own reflection, noting the rouge tinge within his stormy grey irises. Nox’s conjured persona of Rikard Streets delved too far, too deep into this infiltration mission, unaware of the consequences of his actions.
Whether he admitted the truth or not, Nox’s pride consumed his actions and he committed horrible error after error. Lulled into the lure of hand-to-hand combat, Nox challenged the arena champion, General Solara Shadowsong, a more than worthy combatant who used her beatdowns as a vetting procedure for the Purge program of elite troopers. He took the bait, and a ravenous, frenzied crowd, rewarded a broken nose and busted lip from the better fighter. Such adulation, a rare commodity when it came to the former Lieutenant, surged through his veins like the most potent of drugs. As he shared said information with his peers, he knew nothing of the Purge Recruitment Program and the horrors coupled with it.
The next day brought an adventure that as Nox looked back on the events, made him consider the accomplishments and the understandable scrutiny that came with it. He survived a battle royale against thirty people and a toxic gas, emerged from a trapped cavern filled with spikes that impaled from above and below, and then emerged as one of the three remaining, culled from the original number. The final battle commenced in another arena style location, where twelve B2 Battle Droids emerged. Nox convinced the two other survivors to work together, besting the droids and showing a solid synergy. He yearned for that same trust with his own peers in Sentinel, to no avail, probably due to his social ineptitude and poor decision making. That synergy allowed the group to survive the final task, an armored rancor. With sound tactics, Nox survived the maw of the beast and the behemoth crashed with a resounding thud. From there, Dr. Ceres gave the group the task of choosing the one to die, and Nox Gammon, perhaps due to his lack of female companionship, chose the death of the larger brute over the dual wielding specialist, Idan Vishna.
Seeing no way out, Nox allowed the doctor to tamper with physiology. Given the options, he chose the role of Melee Specialist to go along with his Purge Training and unwilling to escape the bacta tank for fear of jeopardizing the mission, his body wracked with pain as if doused by liquid fire, and he remained conscious for an entire hour before drifting into unconsciousness. When he awoke, Nox returned to his quarters and received his Purge Trooper armor. Now equipped into the role, his antics earned him passage into the Jormungandr, the prized possession of exploration and conquest.
Nox Gammon knew nothing of the cost. He believed his actions to be in the interest of the cause. But the looks of resentment from his team remained. Even before his demotion, Nox Gammon commanded little respect. Now, a Private, as he told the tale of his journey to his fellow Sentinel peers, the group responded with looks of cynicism. In trying to do what was necessary, his actions widened the chasm of trust. And, as he returned to his bunk, a sense of worry flooded through him. The newfound acceptance into the Purge program brought some respect as he moved higher in the food chain. He resisted the call, but the fact that he heard the siren’s voice from the other side proved worrisome. Nox realized Garen’s words about his eventual self-inflicted death were plausible. He needed not look any further than his series of poor choices.
Their journey into the Jormungandr had just begun. However, Nox Gammon, in typical fashion, may have compromised the mission more than he realized. As his eyes shut, he begrudgingly accepted the truth. He’d never garner the approval of his peers. But that didn’t matter. All that mattered was their success and safety, and he steeled his resolved to foresee that success. His only fear stemmed from whatever mental and physical manipulated he permitted done to him, and the enticing, seductive call in the embrace of the enemy.

Markus told me to make a report.
In his campaign Katrila, Garen, and Jiayi blew up a comms array by loading up a speeder with explosives, enslaving it to Garen's cybernetic implants, and driving it into the array after Katrila broadcasted a red herring plan over open comms.
