ITOD: IBG 101: Convoy Attack

- Fleet Command has decided to try and capture the Imperial shipyards at Yaga Minor. This will not be easy as the Imperial garrison in this sector is one of the strongest in what is left of the Empire. They have at least one SSD, the Imperator, completed shortly after Coruscant fell to the New Republic. We also have an unconfirmed report from an A-wing scout several days ago who reported seeing a second SSD. The transmission ceased shortly afterwards and the pilot is missing presumed dead. If this is true it lends a new urgency to our attack as any shipyard capable of producing SSD's represents a major threat to the New Republic and so must be destroyed as soon as possible.
Our fleet is assembling at our rendezvous point several light years out from the Imp shipyards. Our current force is made up of 3 Mon Cal cruisers and several frigates and smaller cruisers, and Fleet Command does not want to launch an attack on the major Imperial strongholds until the cruisers Defiance and Independence arrive as reinforcement. However, there is nothing to stop us attacking the forces on the edge of Imperial territory, and some data collected by a recon flight has given us the perfect opportunity to disrupt Imperial operations in this sector.
The Frigates Swift and Valiant and the CRS Mon Remonda will leave the fleet and travel to an area almost 10 light years away. An Imperial resupply convoy will pass through this area in the next few minutes. This convoy is made up of over 40 cargo carrying craft, protected only by a few CRV's and a Bulk Cruiser. Escorts are unlikely due to our location deep in Imperial space. Due to the timing of our attack, we will only have a few minutes before the convoy can reach their hyper points. Accompanying the capital ships will be Y-Wings from Gauntlet squadron and X-Wings from Shrike squadron. The Y-Wings and X-Wings will be tasked with the destruction of the convoy. The FRG's will also assist due to the large number of ships expected. Do as much damage as you can before they are able to escape.
When the convoy has been destroyed, return to the fleet and dock with the Liberty.
