The battle was intense; something worthy of song. Many died, and many times Jay Forerunner felt that he would join them. The way everyone dispersed upon first contact almost looked like a budding flower, then it all went to Hell and beyond. The odds felt like 3 TIE Interceptors against each of us, and with everyone so well trained, friend and foe alike, this was arguably the most crucial effort he has invested thus far.

It was a series of stations, shipyards, and research facilities that needed protecting, probably the biggest operation within the New Republic. With how many both sides lost, who suffered the most is a hard question to answer. The bombers were almost easily ignored by the horrors in center field relative to the stations and intruding destroyers, but a crafty pilot could use them for mild target practice...relatively speaking.

Words escape the mouths of everyone there, except for wild screams and cuss words because that's all anyone could think at the time. Those arrogant enough to call this "fun" quickly died within the first minute of contact. Fighters turned to trash, and the mess still loomed even after all was done and said.

So whatever became of those who survived? They went back to what they were doing before the scramble. There was no way any of them could've prepared for this day. Men and women, some of them husbands and wives and romantic lovers, clashed stupidly against the suicidal fray.

Considering many of them arguably had Jedi-like skills, it's a wonder if this incident wouldn't have been as Force-deafening as the legend of Malachor 5.
