Call me crazy, but I love clearing mines in unshielded ships. There's nothing quite like it. This mission was a dream come true.

I thought it would be easy, as on my first run I got to the very last mine without being touched, but it happened to be a missile mine - with the last mine cleared, I went BOOM.

Then I tried several more times, but went boom again, almost always from a missile. I finally figured out how to run away from them successfully, and made it all the way.

I almost thought the mission would be more fun with a couple of Modified Corvettes stationed in the middle of the minefield, but I've been accused of being a sadist before ...

The briefing was fine, though had some major quirks in the map display.

Am really glad to have flown the unshielded version of this, rather than the shielded one. Great stuff, Castor!

This indeed was a tough egg to crack with no shields however with a little persistence and patients I cracked it. Now that I have I'll go let my nerves settle down because that one took a bit to get it right.

This is one rough mission. Mines everywhere, no shields on your fighter. Urgh. But if it wasn't absurdly difficult, it wouldn't be a COMTAC mission!
