Even though you retired officially from your post yesterday, in order to serve your country by attending Basic Training, I hope that this medal finds you. You have done an amazing job as the IBG CO over the past number of months, and have put the myth that IBG COs don’t last long to rest. For your efforts, and leaving your command in extremely good standing, I hereby award you with the Distinguished Service Cross! Congratulations!!!
