IBG Tour 1: Assault on Yaga Minor
IBG 106: Destroy the SSD Tyrannic
▼ Briefing
This is our chance to destroy most of the Imperial capital ships in this sector, and also gives us the chance to use our captured Interdictor. According to the data we obtained, the SSD Tyrannic is in the final stages of its construction at this time. While it is being worked on, it is extremely vulnerable as it cannot raise it's shields. The Imperials have therefore placed most of their sector fleet around the construction area to guard against attack. To overcome this difficulty, Fleet Command has devised a 3 stage plan to destroy the Imperials.
1. The INT Silencer will hyper into the area first to prevent any ships escaping. Accompanying it will be 4 Modified Corvettes, who will defend it from Imperial starfighter attacks and will also jam all communications so that the Imperials cannot summon help.
2. We expect that the Imperials will send several capital ships to destroy the INT. Before they can reach it, most of our fleet will drop out of hyperspace between them and the INT, and will begin to engage them. Once the Imperials attention is concentrated on those ships, the Mon Cal cruisers Liberty, Defiance and Freedom will drop out hyperspace behind the SSD, along with the rest of the fleet. They will first destroy any remaining Imperial ships in the area and will then begin attacking the SSD.
3. Once the SSD has been destroyed, all ships will concentrate on the remaining Imperial capital ships. We want to destroy as many as possible before we hit the main shipyards.

Terrible mission. capital ship collisions galore.
mcgrath hits exaclibur
madron hits dominance
centurion 1,3-6 just sit idle in space and do nothing
enemy fighters randomly run off into space, had to repeat a couple times because of this
assault frigate crashes into ssd and destroys it somehow, taking no damage to itself
other cruisers should have been marked as mission critical craft, you get no warning when any of them get damaged
too many capital ships too spread out to focus one, results in the loss of a cruiser making mission impossible on hard mode
